  • yuo could also arrange them into a tetrahedron to get 4 equilateral triangles with 6 matches.

  • i can't believe people don't understand the solutions

  • First one is right, you slid C down and moved A, for people who didn't understand.

But second one is easier. Build a PYRAMID (base is a triangle, not square).

Please, vote up if correct or down if not.

  • @caphito11 You are correct

  • the "berry" solution seems wrong. I looked at the picture and you clearly moved more than two matches, which was the original requirement.

  • @tmcm531 Berry puzzle: I stated that I moved A & C. Try pausing the video and seeing the difference.

  • Well its a good attempt but you moved more than one match stick on the first and so you may as well just flip the thing so the right hand side becomes the left leaving cherry out which was my initial thought before I remembered that he said that there 'should' be a way to do it with two. Yes the other is a pyramid and I'm proud to say that I had a spark of creativity to get that on my first attempt :DDDD lol

  • @Dolphidood *More than 2... fml lol

  • The triangle solution is wrong, as`it was asked for 4 triangles of the same size. The guy said, that the first triangle was 1 of the 4 triangles asked for. You numbered 6 of the same size, but you have actually 7 triangles there, of which one is bigger than the rest. The one with the glass is also inconclusive, as it looks like you have moved everything in the picture (including the berry) except "C". "C" is in the middle of both pictures so it has not moved.

  • @Bernadette61983 Berry puzzle: It doesn't matter what it 'looks like'; it matters what the difference in the pictures is, especially as I stated that I moved A & C. Try pausing the video and seeing the difference.

Also, the second puzzle was not clarified when I made this video but I commented (a YEAR ago) that the 3d solution was the answer.

Oh and ALSO, if you're going to try and nitpick, try to count properly. In the second 'solution' there are 8 triangles, TWO of which are larger ones.

  • @comface If it doesn't matter what the picture of the glass looks like, what's the whole point of it then? Fact is, if someone doesn't have a clue how to do it, the picture will confuse him. It doesn't matter that you mentioned A&C before as the picture comes after that and by then, the person will be so busy figuring out what is different in the second picture, that they have problably forgotten what was written b4. You could at least write it on the picture, if u can't take the pictures right.

  • What do you mean, the triangle puzzle was not clarified? Are you trying to say that the video has changed? Everything the guy says in the video is well clear and doesn't need a clarification!

Fair enough, I missed to count 1 triangle as it was in the middle of the night. I may have overlooked something but you didn't listen properly or didn't get it at all. I'm not nitpicking, I'm only criticising your video and I even tell you why so you can improve it.

  • @comface If you don't like the fact that comments are not always positive, then you should not take the risk of uploading a video or at least disable the comments! The only one nickpicking here is you! I don't have to tell you that I like it, if I don't. And I don't like it because of the mistakes I pointed out. I have my own opinion and even if you don't share it, you don't need to get bitchy!

  • nice solution to the first one. I actually couldn't figure it out through the duration of the video.

The second one was easier though. Recognized the triangular pyramid right away

  • Where did you get the "Once around the block" cover?

  • @finalfantsy9 Can't remember, but the intro was just the right length for this video!

  • Clever your 3D answer! You came out the box!

Merry Christmas and happy new year to all!

  • Thanks for the comment szebibi and Merry Xmas to you too!

  • that is a correct answer, I understood directly, you shifted C down its upper end joind Ds red top, and moved A to form a cup opposite side. Nice

  • Well done comface, it took me ages to get that first one. However I think Charles forgot to mention that in they the second challenge all the triangles have to be the same size. You have to think outside the box to get it and use your finger.

  • Are you saying I got challenge 2 wrong?

  • Not wrong because Charles forgot to mention that all the triangles had to be the same size and the first triangle is one of them. So yes and no. I've added an annotation.

  • Oh, in that case you make a pyramid using the three matches. It's a 3d answer instead of the red herring 6 matches solution!

  • @nbarrett100 But all the triangles are the same size...unless you mean that all the triangles need to be same the size as the original one that you made.

  • you moved more than 2 in the first puzzle

  • I was wondering if I made it clear enough...?

I did label the matches... maybe pause the video and see exactly what I did?
