  • very well played, that is next on my repertoire.

  • Hey you!! long time no see! I just posted a video of this popular piece. Sounds great Julie.

  • I REMEMBER LEARNING THIS PIECE YEARS AGO! :) You have inspired me to dig our my old sheet music, and enjoy my classical guitar again. :)

  • It did not make me satisfied

  • very nice piece (Carcassi) but not enough feeling.

  • haha, did you expect 70k views?

  • pasame las partituras que esta demasiado facil.

  • really beautiful!

  • ZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • @GStarGuitar

    Nice comment GSG.

Good to see that you are encouraging budding musicians, especially on 4 year old vids.

I also note that you have 0 posts and think that Phil Collins is a good drummer.

Ooops...I think that a good drummer would disagree with you..as would half of Pink Floyd..

As for a guitarist, I don't know yet...but I think it would be interesting to see/hear.

    In the meantime.....keep very quiet!

  • thank you very much! Please keep posting great videos!!

  • beautiful!

  • very nice. but in measure 19 I think it's supposed to be an "A", where you play a low "E".

  • Very nice. Thanks for posting.

  • OMG! You and your guitar are beautiful.

  • Nice playing. Nice piece too.

  • good work but timing can be much better!! and also u can definitely louden the bass!! but overall nice job

  • so preety i love that study :) u make a good sound to the high melody

  • When you learn guitar how long is it before your fingers stop hurting?

  • it sounds like TIco Tico song

  • just watched this after seeing your latest video, wow you have progressed so fast! i'm jealous ;)

  • just watched this after seeing your latest video, wow you have progressed so fast! i'm jealous ;)

  • Great Job! I have to play this song for my college recital next week. You have become my inspiration.

  • Great piece...nicely played.

I play this one too, but little faster. I was listening to Liona Boyd's version and she plays faster. I like the way you play it too.

I was wondering is your guitar on a stand when you play?

  • It sounds better played faster.

  • This brings a smile upon my face. I know how to play this a little bit at a time, but not from start to finish with a metronome yet.

I'm really impressed. You inspire me to actually slow down my metronome and get it start to finish. Nice job.

Thank god for tabs though lol cause I cheated with tabs. I tried to learn this for the longest time by trying to figure out how the chords would map out but oh my god, when I realized there is a tab of this song, I nearly jumped! :D

  • Hi Julie, I have posted a video of my 12-year old daughter playing the piece using tirando with the a finger on the melody. At first, I also advised her to use apoyando. But I later suggested her to use tirando for developing a stronger and smoother right hand technique, especially when you are a beginner. She has only started sort of learning the guitar from me since April this year. Grateful for your comment.

  • Hi Julie, I have just posted a video of my 12 -year old daughter...whom I have taught to play the piece. She has only started learning the guitar since Arpil this year. I first advised her to use apoyando on the melody but now I changed my mind by asking her to use tirando instead, the result of which is shown in the video. Using tirando helps the player to acquire a smoother right hand technique, especially in the case of a beginner. Grateful for your comment?

  • what is the difference between the two?

  • Comment removed

  • this is a study right? because i got in my book as a STUDY IN A.

  • @luicho0303 "etude" is "study" in French and Italian. As Matteo Carcassi was Italian, the piece is called "etude"

  • I'm in love

  • I like how you take your time and don't rush through the piece. Are you playing a Takamine? Nice well rounded tone. Keep up the good work.

  • Thanks for watching. My guitar is Jose Ramirez 2CWE.

  • I had no idea Jose Ramirez made a cutaway. Very nice.

  • beautiful girl )

  • 33,000 views and you leave the ratings disabled! What?

  • Marry me

  • Now here's a video going back huh Julie? You know though, that no matter how far you go back, your classical interpretations are all timeless pieces. Thanks for uploading Julie and giving everone the pleasure of hearing you.

  • That was lovely. Very nice sense of tenderness.

  • That was very nice. Thanks for sharing with us.

  • Very Good. Good Concentration. I always find it hard to play in front of a camera.

  • will you marry me~! great job :):) love it

  • you shouldn't disable yor ratings. Your really great!

  • not bad for a beginner... :P

  • Amazing.

  • hellooo my friend heyy i play the guitar too i like flamenco and music classical you play very well ok see u

  • Julie , my friend musician

    Beautiful rendition! I like it!

    Antonio

  • Que bonito!

  • I play this piece much like you do. It is very beautiful. Please, let me know what you think of mine.

  • Take some of these comments with a grain of salt - It is more important to play the notes well than to play fast. You did a good job. On a constructive note, I would like to hear a more clear bass voice, especially in the second part. Nice work.

  • where can i get sheet music for this?

    the song is so beautiful!

  • Trinity Guildhall grade 5 2004-2009 has it. It's an english book. Otherwise you could probably download it from somewhere i'd imagine

  • great job on this song

    and to lionlada225

if you google it you will find it, id post a link but youtube would probably block it.

    im learning it myself.

  • not bad. more legato please?

  • nice!!

  • whhhhhhhaaaat!! this is slow??

    so what is fast

send me a video cause I'm making my guitar exam on this song

  • This is really plesant :-)

I have to play also this song for my exam

  • Hello Julie. You have done it a bit slow. But even then it sounds nice.I saw a video on Carcassi's Study No.7(Allegro) done deliberately slow but listening to it was a wonderful experience. So take comfort from the feeling that you have done your best.Good luck.

  • no actually Julie I think you did just fine, normally when people know nothing of the guitar they come up with ignorant comments like these!

  • i played this with free stroke but i think i like it better rest stroke :D

  • free stroke is what i do....

  • very good i dont know much about playing a guitaer but i do know that u could do a beter song that seemed very easy(4 u)

  • Felicidades. Me ha gustado mucho.

  • too slow

  • the first part repeats and the the repeats from the first part

  • This is just etude in A or has another name related to opus xx no. x?

  • opus 60 NUMBER 1

  • Op 60 No. 3

  • nice, but try to put more timbre in it, it sounds kinda cold

  • hehehhe, yeah, just enjoy it, if you do a mistake that doesnt matter, just enjoy it ^-^

  • You look as if you are waiting for a mistake to happen. Common chill. The basic idea of pmusic is to enjoy and if we make a mistake, so what.

  • (Clap clap) Solid preformance.

    --Van

  • Thanks, Van!
