  • Bret was Dyn-O-Mite !

  • You know what Jack Klugman was a real prick for calling down his wife on national television. I always loved Match game. Richard Dawson and Brett were my favorite regulars on the show, I use to watch Match game live as a ten year old back in 1974. It was all down hill for the game show after Richard left in 1978.

  • Do you happen to know if Brett had ever suffered a stroke in her final years? During those recent interview clips it looked like her left eye was paralyzed.

  • That was fun. Thank you. Although I was not around during the show's original run, I watch it all the time on GSN.

  • Just wonderful, I loved Brett, thank you so much!

  • Is that Mark Goddard (Major West) from Lost In Space???

  • Three years ago today that Brett passed away - the world hasn't had as much bawdy laughter since!

  • Brett giving Suzanne Pleshett hell, this is cool!!!

  • Pleshette looking so young..

  • what a nice tribute

  • love the sound effects in the movie clip!

  • GOD BLESS YOU FOR THIS! It is SO deserved! THAK YOU!!!!

  • i <3 Brettt And Charlz

  • Been watching clips of Match Game for the past few months on line, and then to come across this gem. That was more than a wonderful tribute. Thanks for this.

  • Thanks LowBudgetStudios

  • Brett Somers and Charles Nelson Reilly were class acts and pure comedy. I will never forget them. The "Match Game" years were some of the funniest years ever in the history of television.

  • This was beautiful! I was surprised (but then again not) that even in her later, post-MG years she still looked fantastic. Aging gracefully does exist! Wherever Brett is, she is looking down smiling at this wonderful tribute. Jack should be proud himself.

  • 6:16 -- "Now, don't shout at me, because I'm almost finished!"

    Miss Betty: (chuckle) "I'll say!"

Gotta love both of 'em! :)

  • Poor Jack, to have to say goodbye to Brett after so many years. She was the queen. Rest in peace Ms. Somers, thanks again for all the joy you gave us.

  • what an awesome job with the tribute to Brett. Happy Acres, you did an excellent job and i luv the clip from the flick. ive never heard of that film. she was great on that game show. it was talior-made for her. Brett ill see u in game show heaven some day my dear

  • She and Charles Nelson were quite a pair !

I just found out she passed away only three and a half months after her good buddy Charles did...

I'm sure they're rockin' on in Spirit world!

God bless them and thank them for all the laughs they gave xxx000

  • Brett Somers is awesome.

  • Cool tribute. If there is ever a movie about her life story, I think Joan Allen would be PERFECT!!

  • What a great tribute! I always loved the rapport between Brett and Charles. By the way, what is the background music at the end? It's awesome!

  • What an AWESOME tribute to the QUEEN of MG. LURVED her comraderie with Gene, Betty Fannie and esp.Charles...oh and Dawson.

Yes from 73-76 she was fabulous...but I liked Brett no matter the year as she was just HIGHLY entertaining on MG. BTW...I think she looked better without the wigs.

  • This is a great video; this is the first time I'm seeing Brett in anything pre-MG, with regards to "A Rage To Live". My favorite Brett years on MG were 1973-76, especially when she wore her wigs. Brett is the quintessential MG panelist. Great job!

  • @rfschober OMG! mine too! I always adored the flip-do and those were my favorite years of MG too.

  • a coworker of mine has the same laugh that brett did

  • A wonderful tribute. Good on ya. Thank you for the laughter Brett. R.I.P

  • What movie was that ?? It looked good! That was Mark Goodard and I believe Susan Pleshette.

  • I honestly was surprised to hear "slut" spoken in 1965 -- thought it was a more modern word(!)

  • Elizabeth Taylor uttered it in 1960's BUTTERFIELD 8. I am sure that was more of a shocker.

  • I thought Charles Nelson Reilly was Queen of Match Game

  • She just got better with age!

  • Her and CNR & Richard held the show together!

  • Always loved Brett. This really saddens me. She had an uncanny ability to connect with everyone who watched her. I never knew she'd been married to Jack Klugman until I read the story about how she got the "Match Game" gig...

  • BRETT SOMERS she will be miss god bless

  • Brett was Match Game's strongest celebrities! I just found out today, 10/01, she died! RIP Brett!

  • Nice panelist RIP brett.

  • What a phenomenal tribute to one of the greatest game show panelists there will ever be! Simply wonderful! :)

  • Rest in Peace Brett!

Was that "Don" from "lost in Space?

  • From Wilipedia: ...Maj. Don West (Mark Goddard).....

  • It looks like Don form Lost it Space.

  • it is

  • RIP Brett.

  • Her and Charles Nelson Riley are in heaven making the lord laugh for eternity. RIP Brett, who died of colon cancer on Sept 15th.

  • :[ she was the best on Match Game.

  • She and Charles Nelson Reilly are together again in eternity, along with Gene Rayburn, still cracking up the Lord in heaven

  • She really helped make match game fun! What a talented person she was!

  • REST IN PEACE BRETT I LOVE YOU!!

  • R.I.P. Brett Somers 1924-2007.

  • I embedded this on my LiveJournal. Thank you.

You enabled me to show so much more love for her than I was capable of sans a fabulous montage like this. She would be proud. Again- Thank you.

    It's ever so "Brett".

  • Very Nice. I hate sad tributes, thanks for a happy one.
