You know what Jack Klugman was a real prick for calling down his wife on national television. I always loved Match game. Richard Dawson and Brett were my favorite regulars on the show, I use to watch Match game live as a ten year old back in 1974. It was all down hill for the game show after Richard left in 1978.
Do you happen to know if Brett had ever suffered a stroke in her final years? During those recent interview clips it looked like her left eye was paralyzed.
Been watching clips of Match Game for the past few months on line, and then to come across this gem. That was more than a wonderful tribute. Thanks for this.
Brett Somers and Charles Nelson Reilly were class acts and pure comedy. I will never forget them. The "Match Game" years were some of the funniest years ever in the history of television.
This was beautiful! I was surprised (but then again not) that even in her later, post-MG years she still looked fantastic. Aging gracefully does exist! Wherever Brett is, she is looking down smiling at this wonderful tribute. Jack should be proud himself.
Poor Jack, to have to say goodbye to Brett after so many years. She was the queen. Rest in peace Ms. Somers, thanks again for all the joy you gave us.
what an awesome job with the tribute to Brett. Happy Acres, you did an excellent job and i luv the clip from the flick. ive never heard of that film. she was great on that game show. it was talior-made for her. Brett ill see u in game show heaven some day my dear
What an AWESOME tribute to the QUEEN of MG. LURVED her comraderie with Gene, Betty Fannie and esp.Charles...oh and Dawson.
Yes from 73-76 she was fabulous...but I liked Brett no matter the year as she was just HIGHLY entertaining on MG. BTW...I think she looked better without the wigs.
This is a great video; this is the first time I'm seeing Brett in anything pre-MG, with regards to "A Rage To Live". My favorite Brett years on MG were 1973-76, especially when she wore her wigs. Brett is the quintessential MG panelist. Great job!
Always loved Brett. This really saddens me. She had an uncanny ability to connect with everyone who watched her. I never knew she'd been married to Jack Klugman until I read the story about how she got the "Match Game" gig...
Bret was Dyn-O-Mite !

Gotta love both of 'em! :)

I honestly was surprised to hear "slut" spoken in 1965 -- thought it was a more modern word(!)
voicetube 3 years ago
Elizabeth Taylor uttered it in 1960's BUTTERFIELD 8. I am sure that was more of a shocker.
