Ahh how we love to suspend logic and reality. I kept hearing that electric lead guitar and wondering. Uh, where IS that? I don't see it.
Classic Lucy comedy. Additional and unintentional humor: The WRITING by writers who tried desperately to have the kids talking with the latest in hip expressions. It NEVER sounded natural to me at the time. And probably one of the reasons producers don't like to hire writers over 30 for shows aimed at the younger audiences. This clip demonstrates why. LOL!
I remember watching this as a kid and thinking it was pretty funny...on the other hand, I sympathize with Lucy's daughter. Imagine if you were a teenager and your mom and her loony friend took over your beach party? LOL
Candy Moore and Lucie Arnaz aren't the only teens/kids in the episode. To Candy's left playing a Gibson guitar is Don Grady, who played Robbie Douglas on "My Three Sons".
LUCY IS A CHAPERONE is the name of this ep., Lucie Arnaz is also in this clip as Cynthia (the one wearing the hat) Italianmann it was a BAT not a moth and yes Candy was a fox!!!
lol this is sooooooooo early 60s. Thanks so much for posting! I can't wait for the first season to come out! Thisis the same episode that Lucy and Viv were freaking out over a moth in their beachhouse.
