I forgot to mention this, but this poem inspired me to come up with other animal battles. My choices: the Dragon & the Elephant (they are archenemies after all); the Lioness & the Stag (symbolize the soul, mercury element, and emotion, refer to Lambspring); the Dog & the Cat (for obvious reasons); the Wolf & the Tiger (since they have symbolic parallels); and the (malevolent antithesis of the lion, I guess the Tiger, Dragon, Bear, or Hippopotamus) & the Rhinoceros. Anyone has thoughts?
Well, I like it. The music and lyrics may be intended for children, but do not forget the lyrics come from a very dark yet fantastic book, and the lyrics go even beyond that, and I am not talking merely symbolism.
@segano1 Alice in Wonderland/Alice through the Looking Glass, sorry I should have been specific, but I did not know whether or not you read the book, so it was just an assumption. However, the poem has came long before the book. I will elaborate if you want me to, but I think the poem is better than the explanation in my opinion. In fact, it made me want to collaborate ideas of various animal battles that I think would be great in battle.
