The last two explosions were much better then the first two, which need some color correction and tighter rendering to blend in. But good for a test.

What I would like to know from your experience is if your camera is moving about and you have a explosion or bullet hole or something like that in a fixed point on the screen how do you keep it there so it doesn't follow the moving camera and give away the fact its visual effect if you get my meaning?

@Reephamike You mean tracking? You can use After Effects to track a certain point and then teather the effect to that point. Or you can use Adobe Mocha to track. Look up tutorials on tracking. Good luck

You really should get yourself a Canon 7D, I just got one and it takes incredible video, you'd love it. Look into it, they're cheap too. I got mine for $1300 for the body.

I think if you put a little more work in the color correction for the explosion... it should look pretty real! Other than it looks good.

Looks cool, but you need the characters to jump, or panic when the explosions happen. Have you ever been near a bomb when it goes off? It's terrifying.

Yes I know, but this scene was not really intended for the explosions..I filmed it a year ago and then I got Action Essentials and this scene was best one I could test Action Essentials 2 the first time! ;)

Of course I would not make it so in my films, that was just only my very first test ... and I know..: he isn't very good! :D

Hi, I'm very glad you liked it.

I cloned myself in adobe after effects, and no, it's not free. it's a very expensive program..you can search on google and you will find it (sorry for my english^^). You can find some very good tutorials here on youtube about cloning yourself etc.
