You are tipping the pan FAR to much and probably losing most of your fine gold. Slow down and keep working it to thebottom corner BEFORE you tip the pan.....youtube has lots of videos showing you the right way

@NecipAksoy Williams Lake is in Western Canada. There are some great gold areas around there including the "Bullion Pit" which was hydrauliced during the turn of the century. They used huge monitors or pumps jetting high pressure streams and blasted the alluvial rock through a sluice which was almost a mile long. It was made of railway ties and went through the mountain via tunnel. They actually processed the entire mountain! Just think of the gold they must have lost!!
Sorry but you lost more than half the gold and weren't even panning over a safety pan. It's all about the liquifaction of the material, coupled with motion of the ocean drawing out of lighter debris. You didn't........eh it's hopeless.

@whonotwhatnot Most public property is covered by the Parks and Rec of the county its located in. For the most part, non-motorized equipment can be used with no penalty. Same for national parks.
Right way, wrong way... go back to YouTube, there are numerous others' videos that explain how "they" do it. Watch your own video back, around 3:00-3:30, gold specs at 3 o'clock - 5 o'clock are washed down to 7 o'clock, then you go back to the pond and dip n tip, washing heavies before you have tapped them to crease in pan bottom.
Very pretty to look at but absolutely fake. No one goes panning with white clothing on and why pan down to only put it into a ziplock bag. Not even panned correctly, shaking concentrates over the edge. Yep A FAKE.
Why do people do that. Maybe wanted the world to see your girlfriend. Looks scary to me

Hummm... I had to watch your video again. Cause, I got a bit distracted the first time... On second taught, you're doing an excellent job! I've been panning for about 6 months and I remember the great joy I had finding my first tiny flake all alone it the river-bed. And now, I'm really addicted. Going back at it this week. I would say, with 15 years under your belt, I shall be the one who needs some advice!
