On his first audition he came out in a crumpled business suit and the crowd was mocking him like they did Susan and America was worse, they started booing him,but instead of running off the stage, he kept singing and his voice is a God given gift that turned the crowd 180 degrees to where they were giving him an approving, energetic standing ovation like they did Susan. cutamisraeli, I see wht you mean though I think I would say rather than 'rigged' the programme is 'prepared'.

I would think it is inevitable that the judges would get to know a little of what a contestant is cabable of if they are something special found in there pre auditions. The judges look as if they know someething special is about to happen. And it's amazing how the camera focuses on the cynical girls straight away.

I think Susan Boyle is a great singer, ''Cry Me A River' is suberb.

I would like some feedback. If you notice the demeanor on the judge's faces right before Susan begins to sing, it is one of anticipation that she we sing magnificantly. At that point there was no cynicism. I think that during the pre-tryouts, the producers knew she was a gem and tipped off the judges. Simon's "I knew the minute you walked.." was give away. I think the BGT is truly rigged. Nevertheless, the show gave us Susan, and for that we are all grateful. Any thoughts?

Aye shes had a hard life! She was constantly bullied by the asshole teenagers weve got here because she is slighty brain damaged. Shes unemployed and she cried last year when she got turned down a job from my work which a just a little supermarket.

I was speaking to her on sunday walking up from chapel and i asked her to sign my chest! She cried with laughter! Haha!

I truly believe that we should not judge a book by its cover. The disheartening part of this case, however, is that had she not blown them away and had she been a horrible singer, everyone would have made fun of her for years to come just like William Hung.

I think Susan is a brilliant woman, Paul, and I meant no disrespect.

But let's get real! The whole reason everyone was against her was because of her appearance. Whether you call it frumpy, plain, etc., it did affect people's perception of her.

But the lesson was well taken by everyone. And like Amanda said, it was a wakeup call to not be so quick to judge others based on what we see on the outside.

The biggest disappointment here is Susan's mother wasn't here on earth to experience this. Susan deserves all that this life has to offer. I hope she maintains her humble personality because regardless of the outcome of her talent as a singer, she's already a winner as a human being. Too bad most people judge the face before the heart.

I completely agree with you. The judges reaction was virtually identical to the faces and smirks they made when Paul Potts walked on the stage during the first Britain's Got Talent. I agree with Amanda that this was truly a wake-up call. I hope Piers, Amanda, and Simon have learned by making assumptions based on how a person looks....

You're right, Luanne. Everything is possible if you believe in GOD! I was touched & inspired by Susan Boyle's voice. The voice sent from heaven & like an angel. When I was watching her, I see her as an angel, beautiful inside & outside. Always dream a bigger dream & in HIS TIME it will come true; have patience.

Luanne, I respectively disagree with you that Susan looked frumpy in her dress. She chose a beautiful dress and shoes for her performance. She certainly looked better than most I've seen on the show. Just becasue she did not have a stylist she had so much moxy to get up there and sing her sweet heart out. I hope someone will take her and use her in musicals, she would make a GREAT character actress. She not only has the voice and power but she has charisma.
