  • Kill it with fi... Oh shit wait a sec!

    BRING ME THAT PLASMA CUTTER!!

  • Nice! One of the best walkers I've seen

  • HOW DO WE KILL IT WITH FIRE? OH GOD.

  • Now only make X5 times beigger and than we can start talking!

  • When I get old and can't walk...

This will be my "wheel" chair.

And I will be in heaven already.

    =D

  • "AND EETS WHEESPAR QUIET!"

  • Whats the MPG?

  • Reminds me of Wild Wild West... terrible movie

  • if the legs gripped more he would risk binding and possible broken parts

  • this would go so much faster if the legs gripped to the ground more

  • who ever made this himself SOLO.... wow im impressed you're a genious

  • in every cartoon that i seen a mechanical spider there was always an evil genius im watchin you buddy O_o

  • But can it turn ?

  • @berzerkerbg yes

  • @leigh8959 Awesome.

  • spiderman is fucked now

  • Pokey Means Business :D

  • @MasterLadyGiygas

nobody except us get that reference

  • Sorta looks like my ex when she was mad, heading in my direction....

  • i wonder why they didn't put ruber tips on the legs

  • That looks terribly comfortable. :P

  • shaken to death

  • Sad thing is, this is probably the most practical robotic walker in the world too. And it was made by a Hillbilly. I have to start designing my own for Burning man.

  • @powersurge91 The Timberjack hexapod walker is very practical for logging, since its legs let it travel over terrain that most heavy logging equipment can't. As much as I love the creativity involved here, I don't see many practicalities to it, especially compared to tracked or wheeled vehicles. But it is very cool looking ^_^

  • @Goblineng the problem is the speed, the Timberjack travels too slow for profit in unavigatable terrain. Thats why they use Helicopter Logging in those areas instead. the loggers travel on foot, Top a tree and flag it. then get it ready to be yanked out by a helicopter. I think there is a show about it now too.

  • @powersurge91 I hadn't considered helicopter based logging, I was only thinking of trucks. Okay I suppose its not very practical, at least not right now. On another note, I think 'walkers' should be researched more, since they have quite a bit of potential if made viable. But it seems like most companies are only interested in what works in the here and now.

  • I'm adding this to my list of things to build.

  • Fake and Gay

  • @AVagent007 this is a real concept, why do you think its fake?

  • @petthekittyz Its fake because its obvious that the guys hair is not real! and gay because he was staring at this man who turns out to be ur dad°!!

  • @AVagent007 dude, my dad couldn't make this, or a fake video of this.

    your argument is invalid

  • can you imagine someone with arachnophobia seeing this in person.

  • The name is Dr Ivo Robotnik.

  • Maybe some missile launchers at the sides and it would be finished then.

  • Now just attach a laser weapon to that thing.

  • GIVE ME ONE!!!

  • JUST GET MY TRITIUM!

  • I want it!

  • comodisimo

  • you ll never walk alone !

  • looks confortable kukukauakua

  • it's cool but im going to stick with wheels.

  • must be one bumpy ride

  • METAL GEAR SOLID 4

  • wow good job but need more improvement

  • Just one step closer to Dr. Octopus :P

  • looks like a bumpy ride but a fun one

  • All it needs is a fat kid!

  • Heavily armed Pokey reference lol

  • Looks like a VERY smooth ride :)

  • haahaha, i want one, looks like great fun

  • Nice

  • dats some impressive shit i wonder wat he uses to run it...alot of control arms..

  • filhadaputa: It runs on raw $100 bills.

  • nope it's only two joysticks, one moves the four legs right to the driver and the other ones the other 4. that way he can turn in a circle by pushing a stick front and one stick back

  • Awesome!

  • haha that is sick!

  • haha i build this extremely expensive machine to travel as fast as those of you are walking, but vary uncomfortably!!

  • WILD WILD WEST

  • arachnotron!

  • awesome great job

  • fuck getting run over bi that thing!!!

  • Nerdy white guys RULE!!!!

  • I love this thing. I'm giggling like a kid.

  • That is pretty friggin' CLEVER!!

  • Star Wars war machine comes to life.

  • Thats amazing, but it looks uncomfortable to ride in. But im sure you don't think about that while you're tearing ass all over the world in your mondo spider.

  • just thing your boss coming to your room in one off that...

  • that... was kinda creepy :S

  • wat

  • machines: 1 Humans: 0

  • They will conquer us.

  • No, they are slowly absorbing us... lol.

  • one day they will not!

  • FUCK. YES. I WANT ONE.

  • so...eviiil

  • That thing is incredibly scary.

  • haha i want it:D

  • that's incredible! now, can you make one that will walk up walls?

  • yay!

  • Im suprised it didnt step on anyones foot.

  • Remember Wild Wild West?

  • carexpert69 is right the ability to spin a web would be awsome lol and to pass over trafick too i guess.

  • Honestly wuts wrong with a ATV XD XD XD !!!

  • spiderman

    ;o)

  • nice

  • I would love one of these spiders. With longer legs, plus more emphasis on a smoother ride and give it the ability to spin a web! Or perhaps some AI chip to eat any parking enforcement officer that wants to write me a ticket! Cool! Imagine just walking over top past all the cars stuck in rush hour???

  • Cool thing, but what's its application in real life?

  • no application. it's art.

  • Taking out the garbage, scaring people, scaring

rabbits, impressing neighbors, scaring neighbors, moving forward, escaping a slow car, killing slow, fragile people, dodging molasses, walking across a field of glass, you know, that sort of thing.

  • The molasses thing alone would justify everybody owning one!

    LOL!

  • Hahaha, glorious!

  • Clearly Mondo Spider is the master of reality.

  • Wild Wild West...

  • yep, something like that.. ať žije GJH!

  • What an absolutely brilliant piece of machinery/art!! Incredible! You say this was shot in Vancouver, BC. I live in the Vancouver area. Was this built in Vancouver? Are the infamous UBC engineers behind this?!? (Since they can no longer suspend VW bugs under the Lions Gate Bridge, they've got to do SOMETHING!)

  • Could be the BCIT guys too.

  • yes. It was built in Vancouver by a group of engineers, artists and technicians.

  • Cool, would work better with wheels.

  • lool

  • yup... it can turn. check out the other videos! there's one of it skid turning on the spot.

  • Can it turn?

  • Outstanding video, man -- climbing up for the overhead shot was brilliant.
