Just got past this on the 3DS version. This was the most unique boss encounter I've ever experienced in a game. This is my first time playing a MGS game, and it's quickly becoming one of the best games I've ever played.

@TheMegachampallstar Ocelot is The Boss's and The Sorrow's kid due to the fact it was revealed in an eariler codec message that Ocelot's records show he was born by a legendary hero at Normandy right in the middle of battle then at the end of the game The Boss reveals that she was pregant on Normandy and in the middle of the battle she had to have a c section (which gave her the snake like scar on her body) and gave birth to a boy but he was taken away by the philosphers.

A easy way to defeat the sorrow is to take death pill but not after going through all the river just when you start take the pill and thats it! In less than 5 seconds, hAve fun

@johnthelion999 is easy to get but u need to get it everytime and is not very good cus has no silencer but to easy get it just find him once blast him with the MK22 and when hi flashes u and runs away use the thermal goggles to easy see his footprints and follow him also they may disapear if it rains but hi dont goes very far just stay low

I like this part of the story because it explains the "liquid ocelot" story since the sorrow is ocelots father. One thing I don't get is why the arm of Liquid possesses ocelot in MGS 2 and 4 is it accident or a ploy of the sorrow.

Here's a tip for you guys when you fight the sorrow-> You see those dead people? Yes, the more people you kill the more time you will be spending with the sorrow. thats why you see all the people you killed. you can kill people after your done with the sorrow Thumbs up to keep at top

This segment reminds me of those ominous words Raven spoke in MGS 1. One of the creepiest parts of this is seeing how each decedent was killed. The worst was seeing blood gushing out from the necks of the soldiers whose throats you slit, or the ones who were burning from incendiary grenades. Ominous.

@GalickGun777 The length of the encounter with The Sorrow increases if you killed more people prior to the fight. In your file you probably didn't kill many people, so the river was shorter.

Yeah people pay attention to stuff in the story. The Boss and Sorrow were lovers. The boss had her baby on the battlefield that was taken away from her. Ocelot was born on a battlefield and taken away from his mother. They also said that because the Sorrow can speak to the dead is the reason Liquid was able to take over his body. The MGS Database off the PSN or any MGS database explicitly states who Ocelots parents are.
