Maybe the car was launching to the right, so they were trying to compensate with start line angle... only this time it went straight. I cant imagine the car could be staged so badly by accident?

BTW, the cameraman gets my award for having balls of steel. He didn't even flinch in the slightest as that thing came straight at him.

Staged cockeyed. Launched cockeyed. Accelerate while making driving corrections. Bad idea. I was pitted next door to this guy. I asked him what happened. He said that he realized that he was way over his head when he released the trans brake. Drag racing can be very dangerous for persons who are not ready for the experience!. Just point it and punch it?? Think again!!.

Worst driver in the history of drag racing. Didn't warm up the tires, lined up crooked and not enough sense to get out of it when it got squirley. Pause it just before he hits the wall and you will see the tire marks right up to the point where he hits the wall.

@adventurous63 Although I never did anything like this I have competed on the track and know how fast things can get out of control. Besides that before you go bumpin your gums watch the vid again. He apparently did get out of it before the crash because at 0:54 you can hear the engine rev up and he let go again before the crash. Besides pause the vid and you will see that the marks are from both left tires as it was sliding sideways not from both rear wheels as if he were giving it gas.

Second.. if it was the drivers first pass in a car that fast.?? than who ever the car belongs to should NEVER put some one behind the wheel who does not have the driving certs for that speed.. @TheoneGodfather i was there. it was the mechanic driving. the driver was sick. he got crooked on his burnout and he never lined it up straight.

@lauermachine they tried several times to line him up but it was his first run and he said screw it he was going to run crooked.
