Dean Koontz changed my life more than any other writer. When I started reading his books, I just couldn`t stop, and I haven`t stopped since. There is something about the way he writes that is just magic. He doesn`t need buckets of gore like other horror writers because he understands that what is inside the human mind is more scary than gore will ever be. Truly a genius!
Very interesting. I never knew much about Dean Koontz himself until seeing this. He comes across as a nice, unpretentious guy. His stories always are always intriguing, and I think he has one of the most readable styles around.
It was also good to see him helping the dogs. They're awesome animals.
I've heard the interviews he's done on coast to coast am - always heartwarming, unpretentious and fun! Please note: author royalties from books written by Trixie and edited by Dean, go directly to CCI
[canine companions for independence] "Life is Good" is my favorite.
Dean Koontz is confusing. I agree with Stephen King: Sometimes the dog lover can write "like hell," and sometimes he can't write at all. A little too inconsistent for me.
I saw this interview when it came on CBS Sunday Morning and I couldn't believe I caught it so I recorded it on my DVR and then found it on YouTube to share with all my friends who love Dean Koontz. I have enjoyed Dean's books since 1986 and used to search for books he wrote under his pseudonyms (Leigh Nichols, for example) and he never failed to entertain. Keep up the writing Dean!
dean jkoontz rocks! first of all i think hes better than king, king dont write many books anymore all i see is his old novels at book stores.at least dean keeps it fresh and gives his fans a new book to read unlike stephen king, I also read john saul hes good too! keep up the good work dean!
It's so awesome to see this interview with him. He's an amazing writer. I love his books. And I'm so glad he's recovered after being ill with the ulcer!
I'm so glad I watched this today. I love dogs and have had them love and protect me and change my life forever. And if you suffer from bleeding ulcers just juice a glass of carrots which are good for healing and drink that followed with by a glass of cabbage juice which acts like tefflon in your stomach and protects the lining from irritation from food. It's very healing. Do this once or twice a day, as needed.
i fuckin' want his library.

My best friend Susan has long been an admirer of Mr. Koontz and his, along with his wife Gerta's love and understanding of animals. Now I know why.

What a great way to start my morning!!
As a dog trainer and dog advocate of more than 27 years, it was so nice to hear that another dog made such tremendous impact on another living soul.
Way to go Trixie!!!!!
