Arnaud Di Pasquale (former french player, best ranked 39th) told that he played Federer for the first time when they both were about 15-16y old, in a junior tournament, and eventually lost.

At the end of the match, Arnaud just said to his friends and coach that he just lost against the future n°1, as he never saw a young player with such technical skills........ and he was right.

He hasn't even been able to keep it up for more than a year let alone 2. His game is way too psychically dependent rather than skill, where as Federer's game is totally opposite. Fed's game if not psychical & relies on talent, placing, positioning and pin point precision. Hence why words like these are linked to Fed's game.

@DonxRaul I agree. Whiile noone can take away the grand slams titiles that nadal and djokovic have won, the reason why roger federer has been coined the G.O.A.T is his playing style. His grace on court, the fact that he uses all facets of tennis (volleying) essentially a complete player. Other lesser factors are the way he carries himself offcourt and the fact that he was voted as the 2nd most respected person in the world after Nelson Mandell
