  • Asian guy has a south african accent... haha

  • OHMYGOD THAT ORANGE AND BLACK FIGHTSTICK IN FRONT OF ZHI!! EVERYTHING I HAVE EVER DREAMED OF! Does anyone know if that was custom made or what? lol

  • @flclbeans Its just a custom madcatz TE, u could buy the orange buttons and ball from lizardlick

  • Lol. The middle of the head and body is called the neck, xian, the neck.

  • wow this is extremely in-depth ..love it! keep em coming.

  • yeah Xian does look like fei long he should do a flame rekka for us

  • Waaaa taaaaaaaaaa!

  • Love this show guys.Keep it on.

  • The commercial is so fucking hilarious XD

"It also has two extra buttons on the side"

"And what would you use them for, Mike?"

"It has two extra buttons on the side"

  • Damn Xian is a hella smart player.

  • Cross Counter reaching globally? Even though I'm not much of a die hard street fighter player like I used to be this is great. Keep at it guys.

  • Is Zhi pausing the moments of that match real time? Holy shit, godlike reactions.

  • xian u live ang mo kio right..!

  • dude on the left was so hard to understand, which sucks because he was the one telling all the important stuff, was relying on the right guy to repeat what he said

  • @silenthicks Its called listening, utilize it.

  • wow, the detail of analysis is amazing. took a whole 30 min just to analyze one game. i hate this game but this vid was just so well done

  • "Cross-counter.... AAAAAaaaaaaaaaasiaaaaaaaaaaa!" Somehow that makes me feel happy.

    Great show guys!

  • I'm pretty sure that's not a Hori stick, it's a TE stick that's been moved over to the side with the TE S on top to make it look bigger than it really is.

Great video by the way guys. It's great to get into the pro player's head during a match since it's very rare for us to catch a glimpse of what goes on for us casual players.

  • Is that a Hori stick?

  • "You Dirty Dirty Boy!!!" - Zhi

  • Great episode guys, I really need to learn these types of strategies and thought processes in order to improve my game! So thank you!

  • where can i watch the hk vs sp tourny thing ??

  • @gunfighter12 youtube.com/user/SGfinest1

  • @gunfighter12 justin tv/sgfighter

  • I present to you DEATH C A R G O

  • amazing episode.

  • Fantastic work guy's nice first ep!!!

  • that's the best match analysis I've ever seen, yes please fire Gootecks and Mike Ross

  • this is some good educational shit. keep it up zhi and xian!

  • Terrific vid guys! Excellent breakdown and analysis. I've learned heaps of new stuff. Keep it coming.

  • Really nice stuff here. 5/5

  • good stuff guys! very informative

  • honey walnut shrimp!!

  • does anyone know the name of the song that comes out in the ad for the head set???

  • @elc9034 Its the Niptuck series theme song.

  • great first eps, zhi your quick wit cracks me up :D

  • @zhieeep I love this format! I really enjoy all the educational tidbits you guys dropped

  • Appreciate this education of a high level match. Xian's just having camera jitters, plus finding the best choice of words to describe Mago's mistakes, someone he's showing respect to.

  • Good stuff. I'm looking forward to the next one.

  • Xian..just speak in Singlish...would be way more natural bro :)

  • Absolutely awesome!

  • Zhi's english is better than mine...

  • Great video, Xian is a fantastic player who articulates himself very well (rare amongst top level SF players). Zhi is a great host also. Hope to see more of these episodes!

  • <3<3<3

  • When I saw that the video was over 30 minutes, I thought I wouldn't have patience for the complete video. Then I got so engaged that when I noticed the match was already over. Nice job you guys, this episode rocked.

  • i like how much more technical and precise this series is. so much good stuff such as variable timing safe dive kicks and how to read the block advantage every time. Gootecks and Ross never get into technical stuff like this, and cant be compared to the analytical approach of Cross Counter Asia. Im loving this, heading to the lab right now

  • Great job. Gootecks and Mike Ross, WE COMIN' FOR YOU, NIGGAS!!!

  • Great show. So much information.

  • well I did like how they went over each segment of the match but at the same time I felt it didn't have enough charisma like Mike Ross and Gootecks has if there was a few more jokes inbetween moments then I think it could go far

  • wow that shirt is soooo badass

  • @Brandsop lol

  • great show.

i'm trying to learn how to play with yun. Haven't play street fighter since tekken 3 come out

  • yeap i just created a youtube channel as well , honestly thanks everybody for the comments we will just to improve on it ^_^ Zhieep rocks :D

  • you can google xiansf4 and you will find it :D its a blogspot ^_^

  • Where is Xians blog and facebook page+:S

  • I think commentary this in-depth will lose a lot of the more casual audience. Half an hour to go over one set? If they can find a way to keep some of the details and move the process along it would be much more enjoyable.

  • I JUST got Xian's shirt. That's awesome. I want two.

  • Mike Ross and Gootecks needs to UP their game - These guys really break everything down.... Cant wait to see their other episodes.

  • This video really shows you in depth what top street fighters are thinking, incredible.

  • All 27 dislikes have come from EX-GFs. Keep Calm and Carry On.

By EX-GF, I don't mean former girlfriends, but rather just one girlfriend that requires 1/4th Super bar to perform.

Much love to Mike & Gootecks for allowing us to produce the show under the Cross Counter aegis. Please bear with us while we hone our stagecraft and aim for the standard you guys have set before us.

Viewers: Thanks for the constructive feedback. Your opinions/suggestions will be reflected in Episode 2!

  • @zhieeep You guys did really well. That's the best in depth analysis of a match I've seen in a long time. Keep it up :)

  • This is a nice new pace for cc since it's more in depth than the original version. It's obvious Zhi is a natural for hosting and given a few more episodes they should warm up to this and produce even better results. Good job CC Asia.

  • Captions at 18:55

"CC initiative: so opposite beautifully taxes the taxes that I can get past the senate but she"

Youtube knows about CrossCounter's Fei Long Tax Collector status.

  • I like how they analyze the match step by step.

  • i never knew there was so much to the game. LOL top tier indeed

  • Great video. Hope to see you guys doing this weekly like Gootecks and Mike. Love the detail explanations with frame data.

  • great video. the match breakdown was excellent. learned a lot. can't wait to see more

  • You know this is a lot better than the american cross counter because they actually explain what's going on in full details

  • 31:11 I thought FOR SURE he was gonna do the classic Gootecks hands flutter that displays "This URL right here".

Anyways good job guys; you were very prepared for this commentary. Loosen up a bit though, this doesn't have to be a formal interview :P

Also slow-mo would be a nice feature too if you can manage - pause for longer explanations but it's okay to keep the match rolling (the pacing will come with experience I'm sure).

  • These two make a great combo, definitely a great choice for Cross Counter Asia host.

  • Mike Ross, Gootecks, Your fired

  • I really liked this. Keep it up, CC!

  • I really enjoyed this show and I think this is a good change of pace from Ross and Teks. Very informative. I would rather they stick to this than become an Asian Ross n Teks.

  • Zhi obviously has some US background. Singaporeans dont sound like this

  • Stop trying to fake the accent Xian, yeah? Speak like a normal Singaporean for heavens sake.

  • great video, really enjoyed the "top tier" secrets. lots of things i didn't know. where is xian's blog? would love to know more of yun's oki. the explanation of frame-advantage and options when + or - is awesome.

  • That was a really informative episode. Those guys are good. Only thing I would change is maybe get a proper studio background and film somewhere with better acoustics.

  • Use a dark background guys, the blend white wall goes against on how good this show is (a simple black courtain pinned to the wall will do)

  • @krlspvp honestly they can get away with any flat, dark background. anything else because the white hallway is distracting! otherwise, great, great commentary.

  • Now we need Cross counter Europe!! :D

  • Wow incredibly informative! I actually really really liked the first EP! Keep up the good work guys will def watch all other episodes!

  • Xian looks like Fei Long.

  • FOR THE FIRST EP, this was pretty good. Incredibly informative, but they do need a little more humor or something to keep the viewers compelled to watch. I'm sure later eps will be shorter but just as informative, if not more. They can only get better from here!

  • Really enjoyed it, great first episode, keep it up :)

  • omfg do it faster for fucks sake the dude on the right should stfu

  • good job guys. if i really want to learn i'll be watching this however gootecks and mike are really entertaining to watch and just cracks me up

  • It's like watching History Channel.

  • This was awesome! I really liked every second of it and it was all very interesting. Looking forward to another episode. Thank You for your work on that!

  • Love the idea of Cross Counter Asia. Am a big fan of Zhi as well. Look into doing a Euro Cross Counter as well!

  • good shit dudes also Xian u kinda have the Bruce lee , fei long look going on lol keep the videos coming very good stuff

  • i really enjoyed this video... their analysis was very in depth and very easy to follow and understand... props from australia guys

  • This is why Asia is better they know to much

  • Zhi's a good commentator. Thumbs up from a Singaporean!

  • very in-depth analysis. good stuff.

  • Surprise theres no singlish slang "lah,lo,ar"

  • I actually enjoyed this other than the slang... Full stick of butter? Tokyo banana? Seriously, one Yipes is bad enough.

Also I don't know why Xian doesn't play Fei, if I had a character in a game modeled after me I'd basically have no choice but to use him.

  • Is there any way to find out what song is playing in the beginning commercial????

    plz plz plz plz!!!!

  • so i'm all for CC branching out and Zhi and Xian with their series but.... that was dry and boring as fuck. i mean, there's a lot of great information for sure but it just wasn't fun to watch. 20 min of talking, 3 seconds of the match, 20 minutes of talking 4 seconds of the match, etc. Don't get me wrong, i'm not hating and i fully support this show... i just think it could have been presented better. mike and ryan are a great example of being informative, and keeping it fun.

  • Dude...this is too much. They're too good at analysis lol.

  • is Zhi the one on the right? His english accent is very good, was he born in the US or something?

  • @plasticspoon0101 not sure about that, but mike and gootecks say he is fluent in many languages

  • The Adventures of Bushy Brows and Half Brows

  • turn on captions if you want to laugh really hard.

  • Buy more MCZ and help these guys out.

  • I love cross counter! Keep em coming guys!

  • American version, more entertaining. Asian version, more educational. What a surprise, haha.

  • @voidofambition Asia you learn, America you laugh

  • Very insightful analysis from Xian and Zhi. Good stuff! I hope Cross Counter continues to branch out to the world and that Cross Counter Asia continues as well. I look forward to learn more about Asia's fighting game community.

  • i learned alot to improve my fei thanks asia cc.

  • Comment removed

  • i learned so much about 2 characters i dont even play. can you analyze a match with a seth in it? i want to learn some stuff about who i play lol

  • I don't even like sf4 but, I've watched this twice very good analyst

  • There is a lot of great info in this. I would love to see CC:Asia continue doing the match breakdowns like this while Mike and Gootecks feature players and their online adventures. It would give the two branches very different focuses while being really entertaining.

  • very very educational. a little awkward at times but I definitely learned a lot and like the idea behind this

  • @texanboy4evr

    dirty dirty boi

  • back and froth, back and froth... frothy!

  • I was impressed by his English

  • More please

  • ladies and gentlemen rock lee fighting a fei long using yun.

  • A little paint on the room walls wouldn't hurt. Color stimulates!

  • Mike Ross has a brainslug at the madcatz advert :o

  • The song for the headphone ad gave me a stiffy.

  • I hate the fucking intro of every video they post now a days. It is so cheesy

  • @AreYouADragon product placement...product placement..gotta pay the bills.

  • @AreYouADragon i don't know... skip it maybe. :(

  • @AreYouADragon keep this comment to yourself.. There's a reason why they are doing this considering they are sponsored and get money from it. If you want to see more of these vids just think that these sponsors are helping this happen

  • S -tier brows.

  • Wo Tianx and Ming Rohitashwa

  • That unibrow is making him look mad all day, everyday :P

  • being cantonese is CLEAN!!!!

  • Xian has Kenshiro eyebrows.

  • @EBCX I liked this comment but I want to say I would add one million "likes" for this comment. Please please keep this comment in mind.

  • great video, not used to so much analysis, but great first episode, really entretaining :) you'll be out of that basement in no time, keep up the good work :)

  • Good fucking shit. Can't wait for more.

  • I think their english is excellent. I don't think a change in spoken language would help improve the show.

Awesome show by the way guys. Keep it up!

  • @Arcalai zhi sounds like he could be from america

  • @swtazzpnoy i think zhi's from taiwan/hong kong.

  • Wow, what a crazy match analysis, even more so concidering they had no prior experience in this (hosting). Great job Zhi and Xian and shout outs to Gootecks and Mike Ross for P.R.-ing the sh*t out of CC, thus making shows like this possible!

  • Someone find that tshirt so I can buy it

  • Xian's secret is those eyebrows

  • Zhi is pretty hot. Xian is cute too.

  • @EBCX

a majority of people in singapore speak english as their first language and the people who don't know it very well. Not to mention how much longer it would take if crosscounter had to put up the footage and actually translate everything they say.

  • i want his shirt lol

  • I must say I really enjoyed Zhi as a commentator during that Singapore vs Honk Kong tourney. He makes for a good CC addition.

Like Gootecks and Ross, he's a bit of a natural in front of the mic.

  • @EBCX I thought they articulated themselves totally fine, and the breakdown of the match was pretty dam awesome!

  • I WANT HIS SHIRT!

  • Lol, Zhi is American and Xian is from Singapore where the first language is English, he just has an accent, fucking racists

  • @EBCX Couldn't agree more. Though the speech was pretty good

  • @EBCX I rather listen than read. lol

  • @KAZZNORE like it seems sucky at first to read, but youll get used to it after 3 episodes. its actually alot more expressive as the other person said.

  • Just because they have an accent doesn't mean that English isn't one of their primary languages. English and Mandarin are the two languages in Singapore.

  • @EBCX Both of these guys speak English perfectly fine, wtf you smoking nigga?

  • Comment removed

  • Zhi is fucking hilarious "Shout outs to Autism"

  • gootecks and his brother?

  • its official...i wanna go to cross counter university

  • Xian rockin' that faux-unibrow.

  • DIRTY DIRTY BOY. LOL

  • This video beats the US cross counter by a long shot

  • You can learn a lot from these guys, really makes you think. Thanks CC.

  • OS? Anyone?

  • @meu02136 OS stands for Option select. Look it up.

  • @Quasarcool Haha, oh dear. That didn't even occur to me. So Fei Long can Option Select Ultra 1 after the upkicks?

  • Excellent! This is like a SSFIV lecture!

  • I will never ever buy those headphones, whenever I see them I count the collective seconds they have wasted.

  • this is an awsome insight into the game, i hope they make more :)

  • cross counter asia beats the fuck out of mike ross and gootecks :D

  • I love how in-depth this was! making an examination of almost every move...

  • Zhi should give Gamerbee some English lessons.

  • jesus, information overload. This is incredible analysis!! I'm officially a fan of these guys!!
