If a ref calls encroachment on such a no-call, shame on you. No one calls that at this level or any level. You might as well call palming on every NBA player every time they dribble. Ref should never be allowed to participate in any future world cups. Too many bad calls.  Bueller had every right to go for that ball, which was clearly 50/50. Both used their hands, but no one had control of the ball!

@squeegiebeckenheim the men could have gone all the way in 2002, they were the better team against germany and if germany didnt have oliver kahn they would've lost easily and , and i dont count the olympics cause the women can bring whoever they want but the men can only bring players 23 and under, plus the mens competition is much harder, their world cup has 32 teams, the womens only has 16, world cup qualifying for the men takes a year, the womens qualifying takes only a few months

I know some others are floating around YouTube with people who have recorded the game from their TV with a camera phone, but the quality is terrible.

This was a truly amazing game !! So proud that my country is host to this world cup and the wonderful team USA !! Sadly some wrong decision with the penalty shoot but otherwise the best match I have seen so far in the tournament !! Just love how they always keep their faith in being able to win and this proofs that thats the right attitude !! As Germany isn't getting it's third star let's hope that one team is & that's the USA !!!

@Hitmonchan107 You might be forgetting the part where the official recalled a penalty save over an encroachment (no one ever makes that call when it is that close), or the fact that Brazil was off-side on their second goal, or the fact that our ten women played with the strength and skill of eleven for seventy minutes against one of the world's best teams. God clearly loves American women, but they did this with their sheer determination.

At times, I suppose. I would hardly say the women underperform at the big stage:

WC champs: 1991, 1999

WC 3rd place: 1995, 2003, 2007

**(they will be either champs or runner up in 2011)

Olympics:

Gold Medal: 1996, 2004, 2008

Silver Medal: 2000

For the US men, their best WC result was 3rd in 1930 and a silver medal at the Olympics in friggin 1904. They have had like 80-100 years to get their s**t together, and they haven't.

My thoughts on Brazil's teams are cementing to a bunch of talented INDIVIDUALS. Being individuals, they don't have any unity. It also seems that the 'style' that they tend to use is one of cheating, taking advantage of the lack of replay and instituting regular deceit. I have lost a lot of respect for Brazil based on the multiple dives, moving down the sidelines during DIRTY soccer and HORRIBLE sportsmanship. i am so happy that they lost. The ref should be fired. Marta is a DIVER.

@TheOscar401 No i do believe the mens team plays with heart. But they often never perform when it really counts. The fact is the Womens team produces trophies and as a fan that is what we want. But i also believe with the mens team part of the problem is the US Soccer federation. They always take the easy way out and never really give the team the change the team needs. Ie coaching staff wise, Bob Bradley is not a world class coach and yet he is incharge. So yes the men underperform.

From a neutral observer this was one of the best women's soccer games l've ever seen.

I do however believe that the rules should change so that the Brazilian player who faked the injury at the end should get red instead of yellow.

On the red card l thought it was very harsh but technically fair in accordance to the rules of the game.

that game had to have been the best game i have ever watched!!! even though the refs were horrible (except the subbing ref or whatever they're called.. she did very good hahahahaha) brazil's players were very unsportsman-like at some points... I strongly disagree with a lot of the center ref's calls, especially buehler's red card..

Abby's goal was the best goal i have ever seen! amazing game ladies! making the USA proud!

@soccergirl816 Yeah it was not a red card, it wasnt even a foul. It was two players fighting for the ball and marta decided to jump in the air to kick it and didnt connect. Not a foul at all, but thats how world cups Go, almost every world cup mens or womens you get a horrible ref who make strange calls. But i think Buelher can play in the final. So that is good, But the adjustment to put Christie on the left side was huge also. For 36 Christie is sooooo fast. She was keeping up with marta.

Well i was yelling at the TV , Yelling at Pino for poor service , yelling at the coaching staff, Yelling at the ref and then just when i was ready to mentally prepare myself for defeat. Pino and Abby combined for the goal and all my cursing and yelling turned into joy. What a great game to watch.
