@5icantthinkofaname you may hear the non-temperament tunes in violin. Eastern musical system is not based on 12-note. for example the range between two note is divided to 9 pieces and 5 of them is used like (#) or (b) in Turkish music. ;)
this would go well as a current world events unfolding theme... with the whole revolts especially in the middle east against the western occupations and activities in the region.... leading inevitably towards another great war
i wish there is a video of this epic performance in live...so that we could see the expression of the players...and somehow i believe that would add some emotional flavour to this grand performance....my opinion only..please no abuse.
@zippyman818 well, to make a small correction, a witch is more likely to know Led Zeppelin, usually the teens today that hear too much gaga do not know Zeppelin.
Kashmir (Pakistan) is said a heaven on earth even the pictures in the song show how beautiful it is. But, the land is for past 60 years struggling from Islamic extremism and terrorism that is eating this beautiful land of God. India (as proved by various acts by Pakistan) is one who is making this part of the world unstable by infiltrating terrorists from its land into Kashmir, I thank Led Zepplin for making a song with the title Kashmir. Kashmir is always an integral part of Pakistan.
@zippyman818 Go and dream, since you guys have been kicked out of Bangladesh, you need this, Kashmir is India and it is a part of India. By the way, try to survive the economic calamity by flood and imbedded islamic extremism.By the way, how many wars did you fight for Kashmir..4 Wars and and 4 times you have been kicked out.Richard Armitage said he will bomb Pakistan to stone age if it did not help with Afganisthan, maybe he should have done that, End of the decades of pain for the World.
@zippyman818 And since you guys have nothing to do except looking at East and scream Allah ho Akbar. You guys destroying Kashrmir for what it was...and I did not bring out the sufferings of Kashmiri Pandits. You guys destroyed the culture and now make the livelyhood of Kahsmiri people difficult with your utopian ambition of having Kashmir, Well the whole Paki was a part of India, if you want Kashmir, we will take over Pakisthan.

Led Zep's music is so strong and so compelling that orchestras are itching to dig their fingers into it! I think Led Zep's music is so strong, that in 100 years orchestras and bands will still be playing it, and marveling in it. Led Zep is clearly the best rock band in history, but their music was highly dimensional. Thick with mystery and humanity. Love you always Led Zep. You'll never be forgotten.
great cover they really captured the led zeppelin in this song if led zep was going to write a orchestral version of kashmir this is how it would be done
OMG!!!! I've been in orchestra and band ....and this song would have been awesome to play. WOW!!!!! It's so much better to be in the middle of this than sitting out in the crowd. It goes in you. Just WOW!!!!!! I am so glad this performance is on here. Thank you for putting it here!!
Trying to find the film with Zeppelin, London Philharmonic + Egyptian orchestra on both sides. amazing film , but struggking to get hold of dvd. best music film I've ever seen
@RyokenMK "The lyrics to the song—originally called "Driving to Kashmir"—were written by Plant in 1973 immediately after Led Zeppelin's 1973 US Tour, in an area he called "the waste lands" of Southern Morocco, while driving from Goulimine to Tantan in the Sahara Desert."
epic o.o

Considering how Jimmy Page was fascinated with the supernatural and satanism, I don't think he'd want anyone burning witches...
