To slow. Listen to Jean Gillou's recording - I really wish Hamelin will do it. This is not an ordinary piano piece, it just has to be play like a devil or it will lack some of it's magic.

However, I prefer the diabolic rendition of Fellner because these delays at 1:47 - 1:58 embarrass me much. As a live version, this one is highly valuable, but as a 'yardstick' of this piece, maybe, a 100-times-rerecorded-and-dubbe­d studio version is better.

And never allow Lang-Lang to perform (=to spoil) this deeply philosiphical piece by a European Catholic composer! If he does, I swear I'll shoot my brains out!!
