When are people gonna get that Weezer is all about havin' fun. They're not concerned with staying "avant-garde" or cutting edge. Rivers has said himself that Weezer has always been about trying new stuff and havin' fun with it. They had a Weezer Snuggie made for crap's sake!! i love how no one thinks that bands can take new directions. weezer has always been good and always will be. you guys just need to get over it. i think this album is great. how would you feel if you were in a band and you changed SLIGHTLY and everyone had a bitch fit about it? give it a rest and enjoy the freaking song.

In my opinion the central focus of this album was youthful songs made for todays culture. The whole album lacks a sense of maturity on purpose that some wanted Weezer to deliver. I dont think it is a bad album at all, it just is different and has a different sound. I do hope though next time they come out with more grown up lyrics on the next try to shut the haters up, people that still cant get over their first two albums. Weezer keep rocken on.
