@robotdna This isn't even theoretically possible. At best it's just complete stupidity. How can magnets, shorting a battery, POSSIBLY repel the floor? Especially a metal floor. It would do the opposite--It would attract the floor, so this entire idea is completely absurd. Guys, you should probably read up on your physics a bit.
@derstrom8 Thank you! Finally! (Oh when I said theoretically possible, I was referring to the IDEA of electromagnetic shoes. Yes, these attract. But you CAN build ones that would work. Just require ridiculous amounts of energy and would be incredibly unstable.) So yes, you and I agree. I don't see why these people even think this is real. Hahaha :)
Looks like the guy hung himself. He would prob have more foot trouble and keeping his feet over those two objects on the floor to do that if it did work. Idk though. Just some critism for now.
hey hh you should try doing this same thing for me with a skateboard deck and maybe a tonka toys battery or something for a hoverboard that would be sick
@dylanmcleod23 Because of the alternating current happening between the 2 magnets of each shoe. It keeps changing from positive to negative at such a high speed that it produces enough force to deflect objects off the steel beams. You'll learn this in high school physics syllabus I guess.
These are electro-magnets? I'm a little skeptic as the magnetic field's strength is proportional to the current flowing and, assuming a resistance of an Ohm, you're only getting 9 Amps. Not much. Haven't tried though, it only *seems* so to me. Maybe using 20 9V Batteries in series per shoe, that would give 180V and hopefully more than 200 Amps... Get's exciting, touch the wire and you'll *instantly* fry yourself. Also, use a magnet floor as steel has a habit to just stick to magnets...
Hmmm so if I get an extension cord plug that in splice it use it as my power source. I think I can fly guys get back to you if I do. If not I may be on the news. Crazy White thinks he can fly, dies trying.
@zfernadz it isnt fake, well maybe the video is, but not the idea and actual science behind it all. The science behind this is actually very accurate, its how most lightrails and monorails work. however they have like industrial magnets and power supply. though it could be possible that this video is actually real.
@TheAwkwordPair look at how his feet act when in the air they hang.... if it was real his feet would be pushing up his toes would be pointing upwards.. also, there are 2 posts he wouldn't be spinning around like that he goes away from the tape........
@eselilchoco13 i didnt say it was real nor did i say it was fake. i said that the idea is real. using magnets and a power supply. i made a floating coaster for people to put cups on. it floats but when ever i put soda on the coaster the coaster topples over and spills it. but hey i got it to float.
@AQWUpcode monorails work by having an electro magnet on the train and on the track and alternating the attraction and opposition. this just uses two magnets and plain metal, which would attract.
@AQWUpcode No if you look how it works and the science of monorails you will see that it has a magnet on the bottom. also "lift magnets" are huge boxes of electromagnets. This video is bullshit. Also how would a magnet get changed by electricity.
@AQWUpcode sorry that's not true. First of all, monorail doesn't necessarily mean maglev. But even maglevs don't work this way. They use electromagnets in the track to repel magnets on the bottom of the train. If you knew ANYTHING about electromagnets you'd know that that is not what this guy made. This guy just shorted a 9v battery on metal case of a magnet which is just plain stupid. Hooking up a battery to a magnet does nothing but fry it. I can't believe you actually think this is real!
@derstrom8 I never said I thought it was real, I said the technology behind the idea of building hover shoes is sound, just not this guy's idea. I did notice the shorting of the magnet by hooking a 9 volt battery to it.
@AQWUpcode shut up! u think ur so smart then why dont u make a video just like the low life in the video did and show us you without strings floating up, and not just ur shoes bit***
What a joke! Metal beams in the garage floor are rebar or more likely a steel mesh. His feet weren't flat. Connecting power to magnets? Was not even a complete circuit. Anybody who believes this should never vote.
@farklealberts this technology is real, that's how monorails work, but that is large scale with a huge power source and industrial magnets. Not saying this idea would work but the physics behind it tried and true
Its fake because the feet isn't flat, there is a magnet at the front and back of the shoe thus it should be flat. But our ankles are located at the back of the feet therefore we should be leaning backwarps if we are standing straight. Regardless, this is fake because the shoe isn't flat when it should be.
hi i appreciate what you are doing but do you really want good results or are you just trying to get attention and/or good reviews, comments, and subscribes.!!!?? ":/ p.s or are you just making this half fake project with lots of false truths and false logic and lies.
Thats actually pretty funny, the circuit is obviously incomplete and the idea of just doesn't make sense in the first place... bravo household hacker, a parody well done
I'm seeing a lot comments saying this is fake, but this technology is real, that's how monorails work, but that is large scale with a huge power source and industrial magnets. Not saying this idea would work but the physics behind it tried and true
@DraidenSlayer this is probrably fake becase the metal beams in the concrete arent magnets so the magnets in the shoe would be atracted to the metal beams
@DraidenSlayer no because he was saying to find the (Metal beam) Which means it was a Ferro metal and Ferro metals are protons meaning that the electron would Pull to the beam not push away. if he had a electron instead . then it would work
I tried this and it worked great until I flew a little too high and they started to freeze over. I almost died, but luckily I installed some fins to keep myself from falling too fast and it gave me time to break the ice off of them. I probably should have just listened to my A.I. butler when he told me to stop going to high...
The most annoying thing with stuff like this is that you either have to try it, or do a lot of math to see if it would really work XD
Still, if those magnets SUPPOSEDLY lift 50 pounds each, that means the full 200 pounds of lift both shoes would produce would be more than enough to lift a person . . .
@4raydog Tell me about it! I made it myself and it actually works! I even took some metal beams and make a ramp and a rail! I was shreddin on that shit all day! Email me i you want some made for you derpdolphin@gmail.com
@juliand665 Why doesn't this make sense? The magnets together can hold 200 pounds, so as long as you are under that they should work fine. It is, however, impossible to actually stand without holding onto something, as they would never be even close to stable enough.
