Thank you very much sir. This video is very good it help my father change his belt in his Tahoe normally I would have done it for him but his in another state now, so I found this video and I send it to him it help him a lot he was able to do it him self thanks to this video
i died out in the tahoe with a dead battery, we boosted and it took me home but died out again. i was told at the last oil change the serpentine belt needed to be changed. could the serpentine belt be the cause of the tahoe dying on me?
@tayagirl2020 I would have both the battery and the alternator tested to see if they're working correctly. It sounds as though you may just have a bad battery. A serpentine belt that needs to be replaced, shouldn't have any effect on the charging the battery as long as it is not slipping and still properly routed through the pulley system. Hope this helps you out.
Man you saved me!!! i pulled off the belt without checking that the diagram was still visible and of course it was worn out..Thank You very much!!!!!!!
I love your videos because even though I don't know the names for the parts, you make it clear how to apply these solutions. That said...the tensioner that the belt runs over has been destroyed in my truck. How do I replace that?
@VajraCoyote It depends on what type of truck you have. Most of them only have one bolt that holds the serpentine belt tensioner in place. First you would need to remove the belt to relieve the pressure off of the tensioner, then you should be able to remove the bolt that holds the tensioner on.
att will not run fast enough for these great videos,,, Great work 1a just a note ( it may have been mentioned in video) Most chevy belt tensioners are weak and short lived and often responsable for premature wear. So it is a good Idea to replace the tensioner with a good after market one.
Nice

MY A/C COMPRESSOR IS NO GOOD DO NOT HAVE FUNDS TO FIX IT 500.00 CAN I PUT A SHORTER SERPENTINE BELT ON TO BYPASS THE A/C 1999 SILVERADO 2500 HELP
STONEYCLAW 4 months ago
@STONEYCLAW You could try a shorter serpentine belt, but you might not have enough room to bypass the A/C compressor.
