  • @O2GuruTV No it was through a Sony Outlet...!! Ok a'l try explaining this issue to the manager and see if can get it exchanged :( :( Thank you for letting me know on a early note..! Cheers..

  • @666Kudos No problem, hopefully they can sort it out quickly for you.

  • @O2GuruTV I have an Over heating issue with my Neo v...!! Its a week old phone, I wouldn't cared much if it had heated up while surfing net or playing games......!! But it heats up even when its Idle up 40 Deg cent :( and i deactivate all my Internet services,so that it won't run in the background...! Is this a Normal issue that happens with new phones..! or am i looking at a major problem..!

  • @666Kudos It does sound like a hardware issue. Where did you get the handset from? Was it through O2? Was it through a store or online? We'd recommend taking the device back to point of sale and getting it exchanged for another.

  • @O2GuruTV Can you help me out with Neo v..!! I don't know why even tho my battery is a 1500'r it sucks..!! :( i know arc and Neo v the settings wise its the same.. but still.!!

  • @666Kudos Sure, what exactly is it you need help with? We're more than happy to assist where possible.

  • @muhammadsaifullah94 Do you have any Apps running in the background? Also check your email accounts. Do you have push or fetch email? If so your phone will connecting and pulling through emails constantly.

  • Hi, i have my xperia ray, i wanna ask ya if i overnight charge my phone everyday will it damage my battery? please reply need to know it asap! thanks

  • @muhammadsaifullah94 It won't damage it no. When you get a new phone we'd recommend power cycling a few times to get the maximum potential from the battery. To power cycle let the battery drain completely then charge up full again.

  • @O2GuruTV I see. Thank you so so much for your reply! phew..finally got the answer!! Thanks alot! Cheers from Singapore!

  • @muhammadsaifullah94 No problem. If you have any other queries you know where we are. :)

  • yeah, of course, everyone expects a smartphone to last a full day with heavy usage, and then fight a Duracell bunny in the evening. people, wake up! it doesn't happen like that!

  • Nokia 3310 has better battery lives ~

  • I got the se xperia neo v 3 days ago and it was like 19% battery in the box... so I charged it and waited for it to go 100% when it did I just starded to use it.... I'm afraid that was a mistake because now I have to charge it every day..... How can I fix this ?? :((( (please answer.. thumbs up so she can see my comment)

  • @gogo0090 Have any of the fixes above helped with your phone? Does it appear to drain during the night? You can make sure the software is fully up to date.

  • @gogo0090 you have to charge every smartphone every day, except when you don't use it then it can stay "on" almost forever

  • @TheNormo93 I'm so sad right now =[

  • does it matter whether I let my phone discharge when i first get it and then charge it to maximum to inscrease battery life or not?

  • @DirtyTaxman Regular power cycles do help maintain a better and longer battery life. When you first get the handset I'd recommend at least 5 complete power cycles (Charge the battery full then allow to completely drain before charging again)

  • @O2GuruTV oh damn :P when i first got the phone I let it discharge first instead of charging it immediately

  • this is common sense, where is the useful stuff

  • - Charge the battery every night so you can have WiFi and/or 3G on all day and have the data what you're asking for available as fast as possible

    or

    - charge it after two days while cut of from the 'outside world' except for a phone call or text message and dig into the menu if you feel the need for some more advanced methods contacting the rest of the world

    -_-

why even bother :P just USE it

  • i want a this phone. but my other phone got baattry problems even wen i turn all this crap off.. is the experia arc worth it ?

  • If you turn of your moving background it will inorouve even more

  • the best way to save battery is to turn your phone off

  • hahah earnestly who do not know this stuff :O

  • if we listen to you the phone become unusefull

  • This is pretty basic stuff. I guess it`s ok for real noob beginners maybe.

  • noobs

  • Every idiot knows this!

  • mejor di que lo apague

  • lol its quite funny...the way to increase battery life on your £400 phone is to not use it.

  • @RageMonkeyPro i just got mine too ..can you tell me how to turn 3g on\off didn't find it.

  • @RageMonkeyPro The Arc has a Talk Time (up to) 6 hours 55mins, Standby Time (up to) 400 hours and Audio Playback (up to) 31 hours.

  • @O2GuruTV FALSE! What you mentioned is merely a marketing scheme. As an Xperia Arc user for the past 4 months I can honestly say that the Xperia Arc has a maximum of two and a half hours talk time, and 80 to 90 hours of standby (with rationally optimized power saving sacrifices). Nevertheless, this is still pretty good when compared to most of the smart phones in the market. But please do not post false marketing information if you have the audacity to call yourself the so called "O2 Guru".

  • well i just got my new arc yesterday and was very surprised at how good the battery was out of the box.it was on for over 16 hours on the initial charge that came with the phone, around 60 per cent, ive had it on charge and will keep a note of the life of it from a full charge.for now tho i dont think ill need to buy an extra capacity battery to keep it powered tho on this finding.very pleased indeed!.

  • I love her accent!

  • LuV U o2! For sorting me out with this phone for a pretty good contract ;)

  • @gulfrazthehunk1 Nice!!! Hope you enjoy using your new phone. :)

  • all good tips, but the sooner phone manufacturers start developing batteries to keep up with the tech inside the phone the better.im getting the arc,but im also buying a 4500mah extended battery, coupled with these tips should give me a good amount of time between charges.

  • @amk68sco Whats that? ANother battery? Plzzz i want more info! Can you buy it from ebay?

  • Have a problem with my Arc..getting tired of watching movies, playing music & games and surfing most of the time yet battery life still perfect!

    haha.. :-P

  • @archmamarinas hey. how long does the battery last? am thinking of this phone .... i'd have 3g on the whole day though for whatsapp and emails. can it last from morning till late night? thanks for your help :)

  • @empressjulz According to GSMArena this phone had the third best battery life of any smartphone that they tested. The test I am talking about though is only for web browsing from full life to dead.

    I was impressed.

  • make sure you dont have live wallpapers turne on it drags the battery by go to meny settings display wallpapers and brightness turn brightness down it can save battery

animation if it on turne it off,Accounts and sync Background data off saves power and make sure auto-sync is off check if bw is on or off gps on or off and wifi check this too

  • @570875 Thanks for the extra tips. :)

  • All useless, I have used this phone for 1 month now and I say the battery life of this phone is just pain in the ass!
