Blaming obesity on genetically modified foods is a cop-out. The real correlation is between income levels and food choices. Higher income people tend to have better education levels because they were responsible for their future well being and sought an education and this behavior carries over into their responsible choices of what they eat. Obese people are for the most part short sighted and do not care about their choices when it comes to filling the pie hole.

Introduction of GMOs and the dramatic rise in obesity could be purely coincidental but I'm not really a believer in coincidence. Someone needs to find the truth. At the very least foods containing GMOs should be labled. I'm a better safe then sorry person and do my best to avoid anything containing corn, soybeans or canolla (>80% chance GMO) which basically includes all packaged foods. It's been great, lost about 25 lbs and the ladies seem interested again :-).

I didn't mean to imply that GMOs are healthy - the reason you and I are both fit and healthy is because we exercise and are conscious of what we do. The feeling from this video is that GMOs are making us fat or unhealthy, which is completely unsupported and feels like making excuses to me.

Often people don't have time to exercise, or can't access affordable or safe exercise facilities. Americans often walk very little in their daily lives. Many Americans are dependent on cars for transportation, both for work and for daily tasks like going to the supermarket or drug store.

Blaming obesity on genetically modified foods is a cop-out. The real correlation is between income levels and food choices. Higher income people tend to have better education levels because they were responsible for their future well being and sought an education and this behavior carries over into their responsible choices of what they eat. Obese people are for the most part short sighted and do not care about their choices when it comes to filling the pie hole.

Introduction of GMOs and the dramatic rise in obesity could be purely coincidental but I'm not really a believer in coincidence. Someone needs to find the truth. At the very least foods containing GMOs should be labled. I'm a better safe then sorry person and do my best to avoid anything containing corn, soybeans or canolla (>80% chance GMO) which basically includes all packaged foods. It's been great, lost about 25 lbs and the ladies seem interested again :-).

This is not why Americans are fat. They are fat because they don't know whe to say no to food, keep their money in their pocket and leave the junk food and fast food alone. Get the hell off the couch and GET ON A FUCKING TREADMILL.
