E&A is alternative hip hop, not you're classic stuff done by  5%ers or pretty much any old school. Elements of hip hop for the music itself is mainly DJing and MCing, and E&A has DJing, and MCing, hell yea. MCing consists of rapping, check, heart pounding delivery, check, and many other factors. If you're into old school, good for you, I've found the NGE stuff to be some of the most fascinating stuff that I even wrote my term paper on them (religious deviation) It's what floats you're boat.

I like E&A but this was not even avante garde hip hop, like say Dose One of Subtle does.

Same with Cage. Eyedea rhymes, Cage just rambles. Subtle is more laid back, E&A is more nerve wracking. It's what floats your boat. I like 2:30 b/c it keeps me on edge. It's preference. What's interesting is that you refer to it as a rap song, which totally ignores the DJIng, producing and rest of MCing.
