  • 172 coaches like this for a drill and 6 football player hate this for practice.....

  • Nice job taking USC's defensive line bag drills

  • NEVER TAKE OFF YOUR HELMET! Grrrrrrrrr

  • Clay Matthews at 3:53! :o

  • I like how they say riverside community college but i see clay matthews, brian cushin, and rey maualuga practicing haha

  • damnn. they are quickk for their size. the first 2 biqq ones

  • at 2:17 his foot did not end up behind the guy ur foot follows your hand everytime

  • theyre all black

    duuhh theyre good

  • My school is going through a complete coaching change, and my new defensive line coach told me to find drills that we would actually enjoy doing and some drills that we think that the whole d line itself needs to work on. There isn't one drill on this video that doesn't fit both of those categories. Thank you for posting this. I'm showing this to my coach tomorrow.

  • bullshit, thats not community college way too good of athletes. i thought this was notre dame!!

  • @agonizedfever ..your right these guys in the film arent jc guy...the title was just ment to show where we used the film to show techniques at. Anyone can tell that those drills are from UCLA and USC .

  • The video is awesome! thanks for posting!

  • nicw nicw

  • i play linebacker and we usually get the credit for the defense but without the D Line we would be nothing.

  • @cgill004 man, your a good teammate! this is from an ex def lineman lol.

  • dam they made that ball drill look so easy we did that practice and we were slow as fuck haha

  • Comment removed

  • @knnight6 spoken like a true champion. Read that last part to yourself and try not to frown.

  • im in pee wee football and is twice as hard

  • @shannonchargersfan twice as hard not exactly :)

  • what is the music in the background?

  • these look more fun i liked the ball one the one complaint i had were the rips were not violent or hard enough

  • i got to admit just by looking at you guys that was great. i shall incorperate what i saw next time i practice. great video!

  • I like the pop up drill my favorite one, i get to knock the hell out of that offensive lineman that's trying to block me

  • wen u do that drill u gotta keep ur eyes up just to let u know

  • never seen a d-lineman with a backplate. im bout to get one now!

  • Lil John Get Krunk

  • anyone knows the name of the song/instrumental?

    sick vid btw :P

  • bullshit he stays to hight for a d liner

u have 2 stay lower in a shuffle

  • anyone know the name of the instrumental?

  • Geez, that twist at the end must really strengthen the old Achilles tendon.

  • Good stuff right here. Always looking for good drill videos and this one is excellent.

  • de is where its at bitches

  • If you think those guys are big and fast wait till you see COD play them! Our Oline is bigger faster and stronger! Wait and see!

  • Guys i don't understan what the the drill when they are on thier knees and punsh is for

  • teaches to bring hands and hips at the same time....better explosive power

  • what are you, in middle school playin city league

  • and takes the o line off the ball

  • what is the ball drill exactly good for?

  • teaches how to get off a cut block

  • Actually we use the same slant etchnique and stuff, I really like the footwork on the small 2-man.....I should make them do that that way. Didn't like how UCLA's Dline turns their shoulders at the LOS though.

  • i agree

  • why does the defensive line always push the offensive line backwards? Does the defensive line have some sort of advantage?

  • the d-line doesnt have an advantage. the o-line has the advantage of knowing where they are going. the o-line cant block anyone if it is being pushed backwards. the d-line wants to establish a new LOS 2 yds in the backfield.

  • the d-line pushes the o-line backwards to pressure the qb and give him less space, and yes they kinda do have an advantage. . because d-lineman are supposed to have speed and strenght and o-lineman are slow. I play d-line nose guard

  • Hey i read your comment on a defensive line video and you said that you play nose.

i play nose for my 9th grade team and i was wanting some pointers on how to get past a double team. and some times we check tight 3-1 that puts me in a zero shade over the center. How can i beat someone that is bigger and stronger than me? thanks.

  • you werent referring to me, im not a nose, but i know how to play it. my coaches tell our nose if he starts getting drivin back, to make a pile at the line of scrimmage. if you get double teamed by people bigger and stronger than you, you have to be lower then them, thats the only way your getting through, if you stand up, your on your back, and blocked.

  • You have to be faster. And you need some good technique.. Always fire off the ball and shoot your hands. He who strikes first wins.

  • get low & shoot between them fast. or you can drop so they fall on top of you. i play DE, but in my earlier days when i wasnt fast enough i played NT and thats how i usually beat my double team

  • Stay low!!! :)

  • stay low and rip

  • go for the oppenent that looks weaker, stay low and attack his hip. get under his arms, push his hip with one arm while knifining thru the gap with the other arm. if this doesnt work, train ur speed off the snap.

  • leverage, and quickness off the snap

  • ya but the o-line wins the games.

  • yeah but o-line rarely gets credit for the work they do

  • i knw. which sucks, cuz im a tackle.

  • @wowisuckatmath not in my opinion...football is the ultimate team sport you need every position to contribute or you will lose......bad o line you cant run the ball....bad defensive backs they will complete every pass.....bad receivers you wont complete a pass.

  • @rapiddominace never doubt ur self!!!!!!!!!! u cud never be too small its about whos big in the inside yu got to bilieve son!!

  • @deseanjackson1010

I don't know what you are trying to say? Size doesn't mean shit to me....I played DI high school football in Cali as a 145 lb nose guard and made all league

  • @rapiddominace why do we need to know you were from cali?

  • you got this off UCLA...I picked up a few cool things from them this spring, but Ohio State still has the best d-line drills and clinic I've been to...I mostly do their stuff

  • those big guys in the beginning really had some speed

  • probably because they are USC. : )

  • good stuff
