An enthusiast's dream. Indeed the sound is absolutely jaw- dropping but with that sound isn't the straight line performance that you would expect. There are many, many cars (some a lot cheaper [ahem the 2012 GT-R]) but you have to take into account the hard work with the carefully thought out carbon fiber chassis after many do overs and the fact that the handling of the car is also very nice. I could only wish for an LFA that has the same performance as, lets say, a mclaren mp4 12-C........

The Mustang Shelby GT 350 is exclusive (only 350 for this year), the 0-60 is timed at 3.7 seconds, and is about 1/4 of the cost. No brainer to me. If I had the money, I'd add an LFA to my collection though, if for no other reason than the looks of it.

This car is nice and all, but taking the price into consideration, this car should have more performance. it is more on par with a z06, viper, and GT-R. Not a lambo or Ferrari, z-r1, or other world class cars, but then again cars at this price point are more of a status symbol than anything.

This car is nice and all, but taking the price into consideration, this car should have more performance. it is more on par with a z06, viper, and GT-R. Not a lambo or Ferrari, z-r1, or other world class cars, but then again cars at this price point are more of a status symbol than anything.

Asian car manufactures made cars that average people( like you I reckon) can afford to drive and last. European cars may show distinctive designs and was built like a tank, but that was those days in the 80s-90s. Now is different, it only takes 10 yeasr for a humble toyat to come up with the luxury segment which is Lexus. Now they have lexus LFA. Think about it.

@Timx4 Family owns Mercedes SL 500, GMC Sierra, GMC Acadia, Ford Mustang 5.0 I prefer to support my country and try to purchase cars that are made in the US as apposed to other cars made in Asia. I thought about it, Im still going to purchase American made cars, there as durable and better looking than Asian cars. =)

In ur mind you think it would be European mande. Yes I like European cars as well.. But to me Asian cars works out to be value for money in the long run. You know the American" jeep" is poorly build, I can see some wiries is not well intact at the car. It's more like slap and bang job from equivallent to Russian and chinese made car.

With what you said with the jeep, thats because a lot of people want one and if they built it to the point where it was worth a shit, it'd be too expensive, people would complain, and they wouldn't sell shit.

SportAuto did a Nurburgring LFA test and it was deemed one of the quickest supercars of all times despite having very mediocre Bridgestone S001 tires and extreme 30C heat.
That sound alone is worth $300,000 altogether and TopGear's Stig picked LFA has his "most favorite supercar of 2010" heaping praises on it. Read the September edition of TopGear magazine and see for yourself. LFA beat out SLS AMG, 458 Italia, GT3 RS and Lambo for the "greatest 2010 supercar".

Yes, LFA has proven faster track car compared to flame burnt 458.
SportAuto super test of both car with the same driver showed LFA and Ferrari Italia with an identical time. LFA was faster around the turns and pulled far more g in the corner . Difference? LFA was heat soaked and tested in extreme heat of 30 C with ambient asphalt temperature of 43 C compared to only 23 C for the Italia.
Pick up September magazine TopGear,TheStig's most favorite supercar? Ofcourse, none other than the LFA.

I think that if I were to spend that kind of money on an exotic super car I would opt for the Ferrari 599 GTO. Much better car that is much faster and more easily used as a driver. Japan can keep their crap. Would you rather brag about having a Lexus or a Ferrari?

Do you know the development that has keen place to design this car? The whole body of this car is made by carbon fibre and some other technological materials. this car is breakthough sport car design and future sports car will be modeled based on this techology. Why bother about performance and top speed? It's not like you can drive the car beyond the legal limit?

@dentonbrowne i agree that LFA is way too expensive, seeing that Lexus is still new in supercar industry, and don't have a name.
LFA is maybe expensive, but it was also manufactured meticulously to perfection, that they only made 500 units, last year. It's exhaust sound is also a big plus. It has also a very precise handling, that it can drift in the snow. But sadly, they also made it expensive, because of some marketing strategy, I guess.
So, it's just up to you to decide.

This is a GT-R for people who aren't drug dealers and stabbists. Every component of the car was designed with weight and center of gravity in mind. The carbon fiber was milled on one of only 2 laser-guided looms in the world to ensure it was as light and as strong as possible. It has the best looking interior of any supercar in history and makes that spine-chilling pterodactyl screech.

The most amazing supercar out today. Everything in the LFA was purpose built for the LFA itself including a V10 that is smaller and lighter than a V6 3.0 Liter. No other car can claim that.
LFA recently set a record around the Goodwood race track where it lapped at 1:24.8 and hit 165 mph on the back straights. It trashed the GTR by more than 3 seconds with a lap time of 1:27.9. On a 2.5 mile track. 3 seconds difference is HUGE!!!!

Don't get me wrong, the LFA is awesome but for 270 grand + that's way too much for a Lexus supercar. I can get a Ferrari F430 Scuderia which is a superior car and cost less plus looks sexier than this LFA that looks like a Supra on steroids!

The GT-R cost a lot less while at the same time is almost just as quick so the LFA is a total rip off right? Never mind what’s really important such as: Car and driver connection; fun to drive; ergonomics; real world driving capabilities; durability; ease of use; general ride quality; etc, etc. The list goes on. These are the types of attributes that really matter and thus make driving a sports car so fun and or worth the money not just what it happens to run 0-60 or the ¼ in.
