  • 每年香港賽龍舟必需播放的樂章 非常動聽的版本 超讚

  • Sounds like water time fun. Isn't this more of a traditional race practiced more in Taiwan? Believe it or not some of the syncopated rhythms are analogous to jazz phrasing. Interesting how human culture is interlinked . By the way we are having our BBQ on August 27th at 4:00pm . Please come ...and bring a friend.

  • 中國音樂真好聽

  • Dragon Boat Race 赛龙夺锦

  • What is the name of the fluut on 1:40 ? rlly want to know :O

  • @longbow857 that is chinese bamboo flute called DIZI or 笛子

  • This music is best played in like... traditional setting not like in the western orchestra setting, that's just my opinion.

You know? It's just best to get the great feel from an erhu being played in a mountainous region with beautiful foliage around and great vibes :)

  • It really sounds to me like Western style music played by Oriental instruments. Am I inaccurate?

  • @CatGameDaiyE totally inaccurate. look at the title, it's calles 'dragon boat racing'. Since when did Western countries have dragon boat racing?

  • @marcusyuguang You've gotta be fuckin wit me right?

  • @CatGameDaiyE

Dragon Boat Racing originated in China, but it isn't nearly as popular as in used to be (in China)

  • Who is the conductor?Any history about him?

  • i've never heard of this name.

    thx for telling me.

  • at 1:55,there're 3 double basses. They looked just like Ta Ruan but even bigger, but thought Ta Ruan is plucked and not bowed??

    What is is called?

  • it just simply a double bass, no specific name.

  • it's the dalaruan大拉阮

  • @killergirls

Thos are not Western double basses, they are an instrument invented in China in the 20th century, called lā ruǎn (拉阮). This orchestra (the China Central Chinese Orchestra (中国中央民族乐团) is one of the only Chinese traditional instrument orchestras to use them; most similar orchestras simply use Western cellos and double basses.

  • I love traditional china!

  • great corperation!

  • Awesome^^

    C.
