I think not Tekken can last for years this game will be like candy to some nice when you first get it but like all candy it will give you cavities.

@suavelyphe It's actually not as 'stiff' as Mortal Kombat.

I've got the game and it's a bit-o alright. It's not some 'hardcore ' fight game or anything, as most of it is dial-a-combos. But the sidestepping actually works in this 3D fighter, which is more than can be said for most others. Plus the characters grow on you despite their generic nature.

It's gameplay is above MK's, but it's content isn't.

(PS: DoA is button mash fodder and Tekken is a punch-juggle yawn fest, fyi.)

-Tekken's ugly & blocky, has poor character design & the models are all re-skins

-DoA is jiggle fest for tweens

-Yes. You can roll out of / tech your falls in Tao Feng

-No parries per se, but there's a window for counters through most combos. U'r not stuck in a KO punch-juggle like in Tekken once a combo starts. Though Exile can end u in single 'custom' combo

-Fast? o_0 A fight-game's quality has nothing to do with speed

-Not complex. But I find very few fight games 'complex'

@Sablicious I have seen the lastest Mortal Kombat. But maybe you should define what you mean by "ugly and blocky". Tekken hasn't graphically looked ugly and blocky since its first three installments two generations ago. Gameplay wise Tekken is Tekken.

For my comment on DOA the way you worded the use of button masher made me assume you hadn't seen, understood or known that DOA isn't a button masher once a player has has reached higher level of play.

@PurifiedKasumi Just because advanced players don't 'button mash' (Which plenty of them do, not to mention they rotate the analogs 6x the amount needed to pull off Ryu's Izuna) becomes irrelevant when mashing buttons can carry you through 90% of the ratings. It's also funny how you two decided to throw Tekken in there, which is also a game that conjured heavy dislike due to it's stale combat mechanics. It also praises juggles and 'downs' far too much to be considered balance.

ya know, i don't too much agree w/ Divinity's characteristic appearance. cuz to have a such delicate name w/ a radiant display, you'd think that'd she be on the side of the White Lotus sect. but instead she resides by the Black Mantis clan. she shoulda' been called Dark Divinity or something for which outfit would b less civil-like, pretty much like her alternate outfit shoulda' been her immediate outfit.
