A few years ago, two parents went out for dinner. A few hours later, the babysitter was calling to ask if she could cover up the clown statue in the kids' room, the father said,"Take the kids and get out of the house. We'll call the police, we don't have a clown statue." The "clown statue" is really a killer that escaped from jail. If you don't post this letter on to 10 videos tonight, the clown will be in your bed at 3:00 am with a chainsaw in his hand;sorry i didnt want that happening to me
this guy is from Israel, he hates Sudan and wants to kill all people of Sudan, he wants war against Sudan, not because of Darfur but israel, come u and ur army to Sudan and u will see, stupid
that's the problem with these general "increase awareness about Darfur" campaigns. The only point of the campaign is to let people know that a genocide is occurring; no serious discussion of the different policy prescriptions that could both stop genocide and create a more just, sustainable Darfur are ever discussed. Instead, we just get the overused "military intervention" idea from the Gov., and people agree with it, because to disagree is "to go against stopping genocide"...
Or how "giving free rice" is the worst thing to do after many natural disasters in Asia.. etc., (as it puts local AG producers out of biz; and drums up gangsters making profit off the rice... etc.)
how would they implement changes to a country without military intervention ? I don't see any other way around it, if a government wont treat its citizens fairly, what else would actually cause sustained change short of assassination ?
The situation in Darfur is a lot more complex than simply a corrupt government or leader. Military intervention may be needed (though only because there are already way too many guns in the region), but military intervention alone (sending troops is generally the only things discussed by media folks or the US Gov)
won't do anything to alleviate the long-term problems that initiated the genocide in the first place. Governments should be talking about funding for major infrastructure improvements, educational initiatives, local food coops, and countless of other necessary means to create a civil society in Darfur. Without any of that (all of it being generally disregarded in discussions about Darfur), peacekeepers will only serve to quell violence for the duration of their mission.
how to deal with, co-operate with, chastise, form bonds, and break bonds with other nations. that is international relations. condemning countries whoes policies we strongly disagree with, and supporting those who share our values. that is the Canadian way.
who cares about Canada? hhhhhhhhh, u gonna cut ur relation with million countries around this world, cuz not all damn universe share ur so called value
Russia cares about Canada, its been dumping American dollars, and buying up Canadian ones. America needs Canada, we are its second largest oil source after Mexico. Our PM took the time out of the conferance in Trinidad and Tobago to let Uganda's president know that their newest law banning homosexuality and prosecuting them with the death penalty would find them strong rebuke from Canada. That is the Canadian way.
to a point yes. enough to have open trade and an economic relationship with for sure. If we can have close relations with China, Columbia, El Salvador, Cuba and Honduras why not ?
wow, media info. I hope one day u visit Sudan, I am sure u will laugh at ur media. cuz whatever i tell u right now, will make no sense to u. it is rebel groups my friend, has nothing to do with color, or race, cuz the west at odd with goverment , they support these groups
i know who you are

I agree military only solution is short term indeed. That said it would be an effective end to the genocide.
