Your version is quite decent, but I've come to expect better from you, Harish. There are a few offs throughout the song, especially in the pallavi which I don't normally hear from you. But I understand, it happens. One suggestion - I didn't like the way you did the "Poovanamay" sangathi, it seemed a bit rushed. I think the original KJY sangathi could've fit in your BGM too. But that's just a suggestion from my side :)

for my brothers who mentioned this song could have been better - This is a live performance and things change drastically when compared to stuff did in a studio...

Also, we should promote these kind of efforts so that the band will pick songs like these and give it a new life... Lets appreciate their efforts and Im sure we can all make world a better place... :-)

Dear Girish: Thanks a lot for the feedback. I completely agree the fact that if Hari ji were to sing this (or any song for that matter) It would have sounded GODLIKE.

The "vivadi" sancharas of kharaharapriya, which results in textures of "shuddha hindolam" has been added on purpose to sync with the chord patterns playing behind. It may not be in alignment with your expectations, which I completely respect and appreciate.

just wanted to mention that while we did this song, we knew what we were singing and playing. Just wanted to humbly refute the allegation of the "lack of proper raga knowledge" with this comment.
