5770's are basically 4870's with DX11 PixelShader 5.0 and 1GB of GDDR5 (each!)

and 5770's are quieter, cooler, and lower power consumption (only 1 6Pin PCIe connector per card).

An intel cpu with LGA775 Socket like the

Core 2 Duo & the Core 2 Quad processors

I recommend Giagabyte P45-UD3 for like 200$.

Core i7 920 CPU or higher have 1366 socket and only an X58 MOBO works with that.

The card is fine .. how about the new 5870

mmm, but, it seems most people now have it welded in there minds that Nvidia is the best for graphics cards, which, depends entirely on the time of which the question is asked. AS of right now ATI is winning with the 3870X2overall. Besides, intel and Nvidia are having a bit of a cat fight right now, so if anything they want to push for ATI bizarely considering ATI is actually AMD now.

pci express 2.0 is not double the bandwith its just a refined pci express x16. both are x16. and no cards are really taking advantage of it, they just have it.

been running one of these about a month now, no problems at all. running it along with Q6600 and a GB 8800GTX, 4GB Patriot 1066. the board looks greenish in this vid, it's actually blue, very attractive mobo. bios has all the goodies. price dropped on these quite a bit after i purchased mine, figures. awesome MB though, love it, love it!

Sweeeet... for Crossfire people. I have read technical reviews on the X38 chip. There is still some fleshing out needed to be done before future motherboards will be able to take the full potential capabilities inherent in that Northbridge chip. The P35 chip holds up well in comparison right now.
