40 kph just depend on the point indeed. The maximum speed is 140 kmh (at some particular places 160 kph). In the Netherlands trains go right side if it's plural track.
I think it really depends on the point. Depends on how tight one is. By the way, in Holland, do trains go right side if it's plural tracks? I thought it was only in Germany where trains go right side :o In Japan, it's left side.
