@christianpreachr I think she sang the song the way SHE would sing it. And she did. Not trying to sing it like Yolonda. She did a very good job on that song and it's not an easy song to sing. The only thing that took away from her performance was that outfit, which wasn't appropriate for that venue. Other than that she sounded great.

Sounds like the same key to me. Coko's voice is lighter and higher than Yo's, Yo's voice is fuller and richer. Compared to Yo's performance on Sunday Best they pretty much hit the same notes in their chest voice. Coko probably a bit higher. I would have to really listen to both again to be 100% sure

Thats so funny I am listening to it right now. I Think it is the same key but you are right Coko most definitely is hitting higher notes in chest . When Yo went high she went into head voice. Coko is going nuts on this at 3:31 & 3:46 that is really high, (I'm not sure how pleasing it was) and 4:45 - 6 she spiked something really high, I hope anyone with a tuner will reply to let me know what that note was.

Yeah, I am sure she can go quite a bit higher, in exclamation I am sure she could do Eb6. I can even hit C6 LOL (not truly sustained but more than an exclamation) Example I can hit the same note at the very end of Mariah Carey's song "Making it Last All Night" which is a C6 but not her C6 at the beginning of "It's A Wrap" Coko probably could go into an F#6

@biackdragon555 we all have our opinons. coko's voice has gotten higher yes but better i wouldn't necessarily say. when she was younger her lower register was stronger and she had a slightly different tone and vibrato.

Coko's whistle note was recorded as a E6. Now far as Whitney singign higher I doubt it Coko always sings First Soprano Whitney's voice changed due to drug abuse, but Coko never abused her voice so Coko's voice got stronger.
