Supermarket Sweep was an outstanding show. They don't make game shows as good as this anymore. Instead there are stupid game shows like "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?" and "Deal or No Deal".

I've watched a lot of episodes of Sweep and these 2 teams are easily 2 of the best to ever appear on the show. It's a shame that one of these teams had to lose.

One of the rules was that the contestant could only grab 5 of one item. With that in mind, grabbing 5 $18 cheeses is smarter in the long run than grabbing 5 smaller items at $7. As a kid, I always figured it would be easier to run down a aisle and grab 5 of everything, but it's hard to tell if that would work or not. I also wonder if there's some rules against that.

Just my opinion, but if they ever brought this show back, they should give a cash bonus (in addition to the grand prize) for every second left on the clock, to give contestants more of an incentive to find all the products as fast as they can -- say, $100 for every second left. It would make things even more exciting, and be somewhat better than a flat $5000 bonus.

I think these ladies might have set the record for the bonus sweep time. There might have been a team that took only 28 or 29 second but I might be wrong. Team 1 was pretty determined from the start to win & that's what they did. If she is Zuss than your co-worker deserves a big round of appluase & congrats to her & her partner. This was an excellant episode of Supermarket Sweep filled with irregularities & a record I think. 5 stars for them; I wish I could do six.
