  • Lovely song.

  • Great song, great time period, life was SO easier then. Love the Florabama, can't wait to see it again.

  • Velvette smooth vocals great personality Bertie is in a class of his own. He sent me an autographed CD not too long ago. Got respect for the man ! God bless you Bertie. Beautiful Beautiful !

  • @AJBluesman He rocks doesnt he. Great positive sunshiny pop song, with a hint of country. I think ppl who listen to music to be cooler than they are, and usually only listen to heavy metal and U2, miss out on the good stuff.

  • @ilsy74 Spot on ! I love songs on the tropical havens. You have great taste. Thanks for the videos again :)

  • @AJBluesman You are delusional. The guy is totally whacked. I did several shows for him while doing his community service after being arrested for DUI with 2 teenage girls in his car (as well as several shows with him before that _ how we met). His music was great but he was such a prick, no one wanted to work with him. His guitar player at the time (mid 90s) was a big anti Semite Jew hater. My jaw dropped to the floor when he told me the Jews were to blame for all the world's problems.

  • @proaudioguy Sad to know about it all. Well people seem to have a ton of personal/relationship problems. I guess its very hard to life with a celebrity status, plus the devil makes it a lot more easier to be led astray and live in sin with more money comes more opportunity to sin and take God's name in vain. We can pray for these people. In fact stars are in a more vulnerable/pathetic state cos it is that hard to reach the gospel to them. God can re-mould them if they will repent & believe.

  • Great song, timeless~~~~bring a lot of memory

  • My friend, Jeff Pinkham, played guitar behind Bertie for a while, and introduced us one night in a club in Tampa. I used to follow them all over Tampa Bay, and it was a blast listening to Bertie and his band back then. Good memories for a young guy living in Florida in the late 70's early 80's. Thanks for posting this one!

  • @bobbyk57 LOL.. I met him in St. Pete and talked to him. He is a nice person.. short (lol, no disrespect meant) but very NICE! A HUGE VOICE and WONDERFUL Songs!

  • i like this song

  • Wow, was he cute or what!

  • great!

  • bertie is a nice lookin dude .mmmmmmm .. i like the key largo song

  • Maravilloso...

  • A great song with Bertie Higgins magnificent voice. Never tired of listening to it.

  • Man, man, oh man. Does that lop off about 20 years. Makes me think of the Summer I spent on the beaches of Rio de Janerio...Ipanema and Cococabana. I walked the beaches, listening to Bertie on my Walkman. The 80s were awesome.

  • Love it in the 80's when this was played in radios. thanks

  • while i agree that jimmy buffett is cool, Bertie is a FL NATIVE-jim is NOT. awesome song.

  • OMG! Bertie Higgins is so fucking HOT! OMG! I LOVE This song! Anywhere with you is paradise. Man, that is beautiful!

  • lol thats jimmy buffet beat.

  • i remember when one of my good friends used to sing this us when we were drunk and partying trying to sing it and play on the guitur man i miss thous days RIP Reggie

  • indeed, an old song, almost forgotten... but it's a golden track! many thanks, makes us travel back to those old times...!

  • Haven't heard it in decades....and loved it back then....thanks for posting - much appreciated - sincerely. Didn't think I'd ever hear it again.

    WOW...

  • Remember those days ART?

  • Living in Hawaii back in 82 a friend gave me his tape "Just Another Day In Paradise" We picked up girls on the beach by putting the headphones on a cute girl and walking away. They would find us to return the walkman with a smile on there face. It was simple. Worked

99% of the time. Lots of "later that night"

If I was young it would still work today.

  • I just met Bertie and he is one of the greatest celebs I have ever met..(and that is a long list)...I put him up there with the late great John Ritter. He is down to earth and a regular ole "FloridBoy"

  • Thats Dieselboys father, haha :)

  • So beautiful

  • Bertie did a show without his band at Monty's in Coconut Grove around '89. I started chatting with Sonny Limbo (his cowriter). After the show we partied with Bertie and Sonny. Bertie oicked up the tab (it was a big one). One of my best memories. Sadly, Sonny is no longer with us. Thanks Bertie.

  • Love this song in the 80's- 1981 if I'm not mistaken. Thanks for posting. Bertie isn't barefooted here.

  • Is Bertie barefooted in this video?

  • itsy74 he was singing. I was there with some friends. He took a break and talked with us for awhile. Florabama is a fun place you should go there if you ever have the chance.

I also met Jerry Seinfeld in the early eighties before the show he was in the Coast Guard.

I knew The late George C. Wallace the controversial governor of Alabama and presidential candidate.

  • Thanks 4 that - i just wanted more info about Bertie, as there is so little out there about him. If I ever get married, he will probably be the 1st invited - TO SING of course!

  • I met Bertie Higgins at the Florabama in the early ninties.

  • Really?? You cant tease like that - tell us more!

  • There weren't many pop songs I liked in the

80"s but this one was great, along with Key Largo.

  • Miss you , my friend !! Come back home to Florida!! Peace/Love & hugs !! Debbie

  • What a great song by such an under rated talent. I've been looking for this song for almost as long as I've been looking for a woman like the one he sings about!!!! Thanks heaps for sharing.
