Perhaps, I think that Someya sensei referred to Masaki ryu.

I hear that Someya sensei was on friendly terms with Nawa sensei.

However, there is little element of Jujustu in Kusari jutsu of Meifu-Shinkage ryu.

Kenjutsu of Katori shinto ryu strongly influences in place of it.

If you observe Kusari Kata of MSR, you can understand it.
