It's funny about the OPD patch. It is an O.P.P patch (the second P is folded over and looks like a D. It is an Ontario Provincial Police badge (O.P.P). It is not O.P.D.. It is O.P.P.. It is an Ontario Provincial Police shoulder patch. (Still used by the O.P.P. today) See opp(dot)ca to see the patch. The "D" is just the period appearing to merge with the second P because of the angle and a slight wrinkling of the patch.

It's funny about the OPD patch. It is an O.P.P patch (the second P is folded over and looks like a D. It is an Ontario Provincial Police badge (O.P.P). The bottom crest is Ontario's coat of arms shield. No big conspiracy. If they had done their research, they would have known we have the O.P.P in Ontario (along with other police services).

I heard somewhere that originally Paul did play "righty" (even though he was left handed) but switched to "lefty" to make sharing a microphone on stage with a right handed guitar player easier (with the headstocks facing the same direction, someone's libel to take one in the teeth when sharing a mic) That would explain the footage of him playing the acoustic righty. Especially if there didn't happen to be a left handed guitar around when the inspiration hit him.
