How come you don't wrap your receiver in foam? In over 40 years of flying I've *never* lost a receiver to crash damage (not even my 2.4GHz stuff) because I wrap them in foam. $0.10 worth of foam can save $100 worth of receiver.

$4000 worth of equipment . . what's another $150 worth of Rx ???

Personally, I'd be reluctant to use a crashed Rx in another plane of this value again anyway ! !
