I must say this in my favourite stealth game OF ALL TIME. Yeah, I know, it's a hybrid of multiple genres but I see it as a stellar stealth game with fantastic RPG elements that actually change the gameplay and don't just add+1% to damage with shooting mechanics that don't suck total ass like in most stealth games. Actually, they are fun too and are a good "reward" if you'll f*ck up and somebody will spot you. Amazing soundtrack and art direction make it even better and I thought it's impossible!
@ProkoLokor The enemies are also quite a bit smarter than your typical metal gear goon. They actually check behind their backs every so often during patrols. If they didn't have piss poor peripheral vision, they'd be extremely difficult to sneak past.
The day I start seeing an too-cool sunglasses-cool as hell trench coat-blades coming out of his arms guy walking down the street, u know the world has officially become awesome! XD
@MixonBro Well, not exactly. It just has a similar "Cyber-Renaissance" design to it, as they say. I do wish they'd put the cool pattern on the shoulders.
I was watching "Mass Effect 3 Galaxy Map" when I saw a related DXHR video with a major spoiler as the title... Fuck Youtube!! How the hell are they even related?!?!?
I dont "game" but my son does. Ive always taken an interest and have been blown away by the amount of original and brilliantly atmospheric music that backdrops the games...this being one of my favourites...magic stuff!
i dont care about graphics and all that superficial shit, i wanna know about the deep message the producers are trying to say, because i feel it obviously has an influence on my life
whoa, i just had this music on and started watching another video. on the other video i muted the sound and it just suddenly started matching up perfectly.
For some people this game might be an shocking experience, as it shows quite openly many things. But for real, when you live this life as it is. It's like your in the game, for real. Illuminati and all these corporation assholes, man this world's going to be hell in a few years.
@TheGuwrovsky Yes. There's few other figures from videogames that even come close to his type of density of character. Shepherd from Mass Effect maybe, but even him only partly because his character depends on how you play and so he can be boring. Adam's just.... a true man.
@MioRaem I feel sorry for Jensen, firstly he gets stitched up when hes in the police, then his bitch of a girl friend is using him and then he gets mangled during the attack.
@MioRaem The biggest problem with Shepard is his writing, it's truly hit or miss. At times he/she can sound witty, funny, and badass. While others, he/she can sound like a total dunce, bizarrely tempremental, and downright corny (Not even in a "its soo bad its good"). It doesn't help that Shepard had a bunch of racist lines for the Renegade dialog options in ME1, when Renegade isn't supposed to be evil.
I wouldn't say "pwns them" yet, because Gordon Freeman is in the game for more than a decade now, and THAT's something... what I say is that Jensen, as a newcomer, hit almost as hard as the old riders like Gordon. At the end, time will deside who's the bigger badass!
@RogueNinja85 Nada, renegade is not evil, it's good just using questionable methods. Remember you're still trying to save the universe and what not as a renegade.
@lobster1077 You have a point. Although I would call it borderline unacceptable methods. Saving the world, yes, thats good, but causing unneccessary deaths, etc. is generally considered. evil.
@RogueNinja85 I see your orientation but really though that just amounts to pushing the odd goon out of a fifty story window. You're still forced to kill hundreds of people in shootouts playing paragon so there isn't a whole lot of difference from a morality perspective.
@RogueNinja85 I see your orientation but really though that just amounts to pushing the odd goon out of a fifty story window. You're still forced to kill hundreds of people in shootouts playing paragon so there isn't a whole lot of difference from a morality perspective.
@sonn4jam3s hmm its worth a buy look at some reviews or something, but if you like the genre it is get it!! so good and lots of replay value since you can spec into other tree's or do different paths instead of being all out guns be stealthy. you'll be surprised how much the different the game becomes early on its not that big of a factor but soon if you play you'll see
@sonn4jam3s If you're talking of the original one, you should buy it if you are a story gamer. If you're only in graphics, it will make you jump out of the window, in case you don't install some texture mods.
If you're talking of Human Revolution - which is a prequel and sets everything in place to happen in the original game, but yet has its own great conspiracy story - you should definately buy it, because it also has good graphics. But remember: Its the story that will amaze you the most...
ok people been saying this was a prequel or however u say it so uh.. can anyone explain the first 1 for me? like main characters that kinda thing also
Both tragic, and noble. Only a person who experiences the horrors of the world, mentally, and physically can know the trials and battles Adam had to suffer, we may be few, we may be uncommon, but this song is our way to show you. We may be different, but we're still human.
Do you have that song which plays during the infiltration of China's Upper City? When you are walking on that terrace and are able to look down on the city bellow, there is a beautiful song playing, but I can't find it ANYWHERE! Please if you have it, upload it or send me a DL link :)
Been listening to all the tracks (thnx @MioRaem) this past week after finishing the game.
Awesome music, kinda like the composer was a fusion of Trent Reznor and Bear McCreary.
Original Deus Ex took over my life 11 years ago, this game more than lives up to that reputation (DE2 I played but completely forgotten about - they dumbed it down for the console market IMO). Pity we didn't get to see Gunther... he never deserved that skullgun he requested :-D
As a lifelong gamer, I've come to hate the Deus Ex franchise. Why? Because it's so damn fucking good that it just propels 90% of my game collection past event-horizon oblivion. To think of all the money and time I spent on pointless shooters... Oh, the guilt.
@MrJakaah Its a very very very very very good game, despite the graphics. Which are solid for a 2000 game by the way. Yes the face of the people scare the hell out of every graphic fetishist but it is just such an awesome story you won't give a fuck. Besides. Who plays a Deus Ex for its graphics...?
@MioRaem It's funny, I actually obtained Deus Ex: Human Revolution before I was planning to because it'd be so great for showing off the power of my new PC and the beauty of my stunning new monitor.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Arkham City are two of the maybe ten games of this generation that I'd buy on day one, but even then I'm poor and normally have to wait to get games. Luckily Deus Ex: Human Revolution came free with my 6850, but... well, I had the $50 set aside for it and was willing.
@MrJakaah I envy you because you obviously never heard about the original game :) What I would give to forget about the original ever existed and play it again :D
Even though we've heard this song for sometime, thanks to the Trailer, it *still* gives me chills. Easily a contender for best Game Music Score *ever.*
@cetaepsilon Excuse me but that's bullshit. It's one thing if one title of a track tells me "Picus Building Boss Battle" which hints that there'll be a boss battle in the Picus Building, oh, what an important spoiler. It's another thing if some asshole starts telling other people who didn't play the game yet, how the boss looks, what's its weaknesses are, and what happens in the cutscene after the boss is defeated. Am I the only one who just wants to enjoy some good music? That aint ranting...

@MioRaem Im totally sorry, I didnt mean to spoil anything with my comment, I was just saying the truth of what I found in my playthrough. I know for sure I am an avid gamer and am very passionate about this game also. Had to say though it was quite the masterpiece, had many unexpected twists and turns, a must buy for anyone who hasnt yet.
@DvineGaming I see you have a very rudimentary understanding of Daft Punk. I will forgive you however, because our mutual love for this music unites us.
super song! but I keep asking myself.. Am I the only one who thought of MASS EFFECT? I mean... the sound and escalating rhythm and also the 3:26 bit....
@CraftyOrb sure, the influence is definatly there, but don't forget ME takes a lot of influences from earlier works too, I'm sure ME and DX share a lot of sci fi influences.
@CraftyOrb Yeah it did have a good mass effect feel...but this is now edios' mass effect not bioware. And surprising enough...this actually was almost as good as ME 2 in my opinion.
Gunther IS in Human Revolution, but apparently he's only in the prequel comic included in the special edition. He's apparently just as much of a homicidal lunatic as he was in Deus Ex except without the augmentations he received later.
@MioRaem No, but the only current information regarding Gunther in Human Revolution is the prequel comic, I'm told. It's possible that he's in the actual game as well, though I'm not sure about that.
I don't know if we'll see Gunther, but we can see that the Lemon-lime conspiracy will still be there : After Milwaukee Junction ( atleast in the leaked beta ), while watching Picus TV, the bottom line of news shows that a Lemon-line consortium got its shares price going sky-high while an Orange consortium is on its way to bankrupt ...

@GreenLantern18100 Fuck Daft Punk. I wanna kiss whoever did this sound track, it is better than a fucking robo voice going on for 10 minutes.

CraftyOrb 6 months ago
@CraftyOrb sure, the influence is definatly there, but don't forget ME takes a lot of influences from earlier works too, I'm sure ME and DX share a lot of sci fi influences.
preacherZer0 6 months ago
@CraftyOrb Yeah it did have a good mass effect feel...but this is now edios' mass effect not bioware. And surprising enough...this actually was almost as good as ME 2 in my opinion.

Brilliant to say the least!

Gunther IS in Human Revolution, but apparently he's only in the prequel comic included in the special edition. He's apparently just as much of a homicidal lunatic as he was in Deus Ex except without the augmentations he received later.
Specterish 6 months ago
@Specterish You completed the game already? Are you sure?
MioRaem 6 months ago
@MioRaem No, but the only current information regarding Gunther in Human Revolution is the prequel comic, I'm told. It's possible that he's in the actual game as well, though I'm not sure about that.
Specterish 6 months ago
@Specterish i have the 6 dc comics, and gunther insnt in em, also they are concidered non cannon even though they are a good prelude to the game.

@paulgregs2006 Cannot believe gametrailers only rated it 8,7. Those dudes must be stoned all the time when they do their reviews.

FirstPistolSammy 6 months ago
@FirstPistolSammy Of course. They lyrics are:
Heeeeeeeeeyyyyyyyy sooooooonoooooo aaaasooooo haaaa heeeee yeeeesss.
Meaning "Now listen to the epicness of the following melody and don't you dare clicking on the Pause button." Obviously!

Hey,Thanks for the song,...
I think Herman will be in the game,Cause I read the Icarus Effect(Deas Ex novel)Which takes part before DEHR and Herman is one of the guys there,..
So there is about 95% chance that he is in the game.
Have you read the book?Again thanks for the song,..;)
maxsilos 6 months ago 4
@maxsilos I don't think he's in the game. Maybe he'll just be mentioned
I read Icarus Effect, too, and he was very seriously injured in Switzerland; enough to put him out of action for a while.
