Very funny, I was in a dormitory Yeshiva for high school and they never searched our rooms, the only reason we would hide our porn was so our friends wouldn't steal it haha.
First of all they are not adults they are childeren(all the kids that get searched are below the age of 18). Secondly, it is not legal, because the students and parents/gaurdians sign papperwork before they enter the yeshiva that gives the yeshiva the right to search and seize anything that is defined by the yeshiva as contraband. Thirdly, a lot of the stuff that is confiscated is illeagel for those teenagers to have even according to government law i.e.tabbaco,alcohol,porn and drugs.
I love this video, brought back memories of Rav Boruch who took away my Eddie Murphy tape back in 1986.

i am german jewish and i have never seen a yeshiva from inside. do they really search the dorms? or is this a joke?
