The "Jeopardy!" theme song that we know today was originally called "A Time for Tony," and was written as a lullaby for Merv Griffin's son. Griffin re-wrote the tune as "Think!", the popular and immortal theme to his classic reverse-quiz show.

This version is awesome and so smooth, the piano guy rooks, as, ah the good old classic days of 1997 in this theme, as I love this one along with the Old Jeopardy! Think Music, Jeopardy! Think Music, 1960s 1984-1997, as both of the two rock, as it's just the classic, ah, the good old days of 97, as I also like this other theme with the trumpet doing the main theme rather than the piano in the middle. (the 1998 one)

my grandmother said that my cousin (shes 22 now) used to dance around with her stuffed animals whenever this song played on the tv. her dad left when she was a baby, so she and her mom lived w/ my grandmother and pop-pop until she was like 10 or 11, and my dad was in his early 20s (college drop-out :P) so he did too, and my UNCLE was i think too lazy to buy an apartment. lol, big family!

I disagree!! I think it's the best one since they started... I never heard the 1997 think music, but after I got back into watching the show in 2000 (and have watched it since then), I liked the think music... but after a few years... I kind of got tired of it, and I thought it would be wishful thinking if they were going to change it, but I finally got my wish. The two versions they've been using are the best ones I've heard in a LONG while.

No. NOTHING beats the 1984-1997 version. Hopefully, they will can the one they're using now - just like they did this one. Although, with the new set, the current one may fit better with the new set. I hope they can do the following with the new set:

1. The red background for Double/Final J!

2. Bring back the "fill the board" beeping for both rounds.

3. Bring back the mics for the podiums, even Alex's.

And everything will be better again.

Even though the current think music is practically identical to the one here, but this was better when it aired in Fall '97. The solo piano is a great touch and fits perfectly in the music, but when they added the trumpet, it seemed out of place.
