He's not bad, he plays a little bit like a cross between Alex and Victor from darkstalkers. He has a good amount of depth, and a really far reaching strong punch.

Hakan is no trash; his moves isn't rubbish either. Plus, how can you ignite Hakan with Psycho flames or any flame to speak off? HIS USING OLIVE OIL! OLIVE OIL DON'T IGNITE! That's a fact man! Plus, Hakan is an awesome addition to Street Fighter 4, standing firmly with Dan and Rufus. As for the part where he puts oil on himself, it increase his speed and strength. I like Hakan despite your comment dude. He has the easiest combo to pull off and making foes like Akuma users to shame.

Hakan is hilarious. He also adds much needed variety to the game. If an Indian yogi with stretchy limbs is A-OK in the game, then Hakan should be just as welcome.

I honestly became less interested in the game when I saw Hakan. Like... seriously? It's like they're trying to make SSF4 a huge joke. I've never really been into RPG's either, but I'm really enjoying FFXIII. I think it's one of those games where long time fans might hate it and new players will love it.
I can see how those who don't like it for what was changed from prior FF's are talking about, but since I have no prior experience with the series, I can appreciate it for what it is.
At the least give it a rent, I think you'll enjoy it.

This FF will be perfect for you. It's not a traditional JRPG like the other FF's. It's a action/adventure based RPG. You'll for sure get into, just don't expect too many vet's to agree with ya, if you like it. :)
He will be the most used character after about 2 months after the game is released...he's one of those annoying characters if used correctly will be hard to beat but still isn't top tier...
I think if he oils up, he can't be grabbed. But there's no way to regulate how often her can do it but then again I might be wrong. It's just what I've heard.
If you want to play a JRPG for action, You might be disappointed. Of course there's action since it's a game, but it's not the typical aggressive type of action. You should go into an RPG with the story in mind, not the action. Just a tip before you dive into the game. Not sure if you bought it yet, though.
also, take notice that they used hugo's sf3 body sprites to build this 3d model of hakan. remove hugo's shoes, add an extra belt chain, add wrist guards, and head swap and walaa, HAKAN! I woulda rather had Hugo honestly.

Hakan is super gay. I understand his art style may not apeal to everyone, but he just seems out of place. What made the original world warriors so great is that they were all fun-loving racial stereotypes brought to life. Do Indian people do silly dances after kicking someone's ass. NO. -But they do have a very strong musical culture and Dhalsim dancing like bollywood after a victory fits. They need to explore the globe and come up with some original characters that kick ass, not these turds.

a lot of the newer street fighter character doesn't feel street fighter. the design went downhill after ssf2t. just look at the original world warriors, they look like where they are from. you can look at chunli and say shes from china. can you say the same with abel, viper, rufus, hakan, juri?

I personally like Hakan and I think that his absurdity is what makes him a great character because he's not meant to be taken seriously and honestly characters like him (ones that are way out of the box) are the ones that are the most fun to play as. I honestly became less interested in the game when I saw Hakan. Like... seriously? It's like they're trying to make SSF4 a huge joke. All these comedic characters that should have stopped at Dan, like half the new ultra's remind me of a freaking ROFLCOPTER. I'm disappointed in where they went with this one.
I really feel like they're just trying to entertain kids now with this game. Childish 13 year olds in Jr. High.

He reminds me of Hellboy a bit, I think his design overall just fucks with people. But there are other weir characters in the SF universe. We have to accept it, so just make it easy. xD
As long as he's fun to play there will be room for him, although I'm not sure I'd play him since I enjoy the serious characters (although I try Blanka sometimes).

I've never really been into RPG's either, but I'm really enjoying FFXIII. I think it's one of those games where long time fans might hate it and new players will love it.
I can see how those who don't like it for what was changed from prior FF's are talking about, but since I have no prior experience with the series, I can appreciate it for what it is.
At the least give it a rent, I think you'll enjoy it.

What Bumfire said. Lars is the typical bad ass, rocket smacking, uber cool hero type. Extremely lame because that kind of character is way overdone. Hakan fits in perfectly with the other characters that are on the zanier end of the SF spectrum.
After people start fighting some good Hakan players they're going to be really upset. After seeing a little of how he workds on the Gamespot interview with Seth... speed Gief? Scary...

This FF will be perfect for you. It's not a traditional JRPG like the other FF's. It's a action/adventure based RPG. You'll for sure get into, just don't expect too many vet's to agree with ya, if you like it. :)

If you want to play a JRPG for action, You might be disappointed. Of course there's action since it's a game, but it's not the typical aggressive type of action. You should go into an RPG with the story in mind, not the action. Just a tip before you dive into the game. Not sure if you bought it yet, though.
