iv been a fan of him since i was small, but i can never find out how he passed away, that part of his bio is always missing. i heard he was killed whilst reciting quran. does anyone know wat happened

Qari Muhammad Al Minshawi was Shot whilst reciting Surat Al Infetar by a teenage boy but later hedied in hospital,Basically he was mudered kind of be people were `jealous` of him!

I agree, the most amazing voice I've ever heard and the most original, unique style. It has such a profound affect on people, he recites from the heart and has the extremely rare ability to make the listener FEEL the meaning of each verse he recites.

i'v heard so many reciters, but wallah i'v never heard a voice more beautiful than minshawis. Saying that my, favourite reciter is still mustafa ismail, eventhough I find myself listenin to minshawi more and more. As for the saudis, well they just dont cut it !

As a teacher of qira'ah, Mustafa Ismail is the best, but Minshawi and Abdulbasit are my preferred reciters of the 'old' school. Today I like Hajjaj Ramadhan Hindawi, and Mahmood Shahat. But all are very good to listen to at any time of day and any place.
