yupp i live in that condo, second floor first building.. im still out and its January 1 2011... and we are still paying the mortgage.. its been a great year
@bmi914 I can't imagine being in your shoes. So many people have been completely screwed because of this. There have been three buildings that have been demolished by the bridge. Best of luck trying to rise above this trajedy!
@konvictmuzik34 Must have been a loooong time ago! When did that school close? I grew up in NP so I wasn't familiar with this school other than it was at the Providence Street intersection with Wakefield Street. It was closed down by the time I came to this town in 2004. At any rate, crazy situation when that flood happened. LOTS of people out of home and business :o(
@bmi914 I'm so sorry to hear that. So many of you in that one little area were wacked twice. I hope you and your family are in a good place temporarily.
I am so overwhelmed on the video shot here.I`m from coventry n know west warwick so well .I moved to florda in 02 and come up every year to come home to see family and friends.I hope noone was seriously injured or even killed in the flood of 2010. My prayers are for all the families in west warwick and in rhode island that has suffered thru this no words can describe event...
@ragtopcat70 I know what you mean. My wife and I have taken our 12 year old son with us to all of these areas so he can witness first hand the devastation. We may not compare to Mississippi or New Orleans with the shear size of destruction, but this is bad enough when you are the thousands left homeless!
i lived for 4 years on 25 river street west warwick ri ...and moved into cranston about 6 years ago....it was the small gray single house right around bridge......it was my first apartment and never have i seen anything like it...sorry for all
@Rambaldi3 Good for you that you wern't there. Anyone in that area is displaced. I hope you aren't pumping water where you are. Keep all who are not in there hgopes in our prayers :o)
