I preferred this show when Bob Saget hosted it. I never did find out why Bob quit the show-he was a good host. The lyrics to opening credits were so true! After they changed the theme around a few times,each time it seemed to get worse (music wise). I dunno, maybe I'm too old school...

@59Skott I enjoyed Saget's version as well. The first 2 themes were great, at least better than the current one. Saget decided to quit because he was getting tired of the show & wanted to pursue other things like stand-up comedy. He left the show in 1997, when his contract expired.

did the outro actually sound like this? or was it a instrumental version? because you just looped the intro when the camera swings to the stage:P

In Saget's final season, the outro normally sounds like this. I'm not sure how it sounded in this episode because of ABC Family's "credit crunching". I didn't loop the intro, though. The video was exactly as is when fanofangela89 originally posted it.

I remember when the 1996-1997 season the intro had a family popping out of the couch and "home videos, home videos sundays, for there red white and blue..."

Yep, I've seen that season rerun on ABC Family. Last time I saw it was 3 years ago. I wish AFV would use this theme once again.
