I don't understand how anyone can be happy paying all that money for a car that's got such a cheap-looking interior. Every European small hatchback have interiors that are leagues above most 'Premium' American cars. I don't get it.

my mom had an 2004 i think or 03' it was fully loaded she was mad that she had to give it up but she was happy that she was leaving all dat gas it took , now she has a 2007 infiniti g35 sedan and she loves it

@TheBigc837 why did she have to give it up? were there problems with the vehicle? i know most suv's have crappy gas mileage, but how many mpg was she getting? and overall how would you rate this vehicle?

@DeMitch she was just tired of paying so much money on gas i think it got 12 city and 16 highway. it had no problems it would rate it 8/10 just because of all that room and dvd player

i have the V6 in my 07. More power then you would think. Good torque and decent top end. Still only get around 14 MPG

@DeMitch It's a great truck. Overall, I love it. Did have a problem with the sunroof leaking but it was fixed. The V6 is a great engine except for fuel economy. I only get around 13-15 city and 18-20 highway. Not that great for a V6, but the engine itself is awesome...sounds really deep and moves the 4000+lb SUV pretty well.  It currently has 35K miles and have had no major problems with it.

I almost started to by one like this one but got a good deal on a 2006 with a V8. Ever since they remodeled the mountaineer, it looks way better than the first generation.

I really like the keyless entry. I have that on my 2004 mercury and it is nice to have if you need to get in your car and the keys are all the way in the house. Ive used it lots of times. lol

I love that truck! Good sounding Stereo system, roomy, loaded, only problem is that Ford's in general, with that 4.0 engine, suck back gas.

Well every one we've had whether it be explorer or mountaineer all had bad transmission issues so that's why we don't sell them anymore lol
