I was afraid it was impossible to take out the sweetness of the soprano from a tenor, Thank you for proving me wrong. IM GETTING ME A TENOR SAX!!!!!!!!!!!
probably much too late to say this, but tenor tends to have a smoother sound than alto for most palyers. however, this sound can easily be achieved to those who enjoy it (eg. i always use this smooth alto tone), however, if you plan to play in this very soft tone all the time, maybe tenor might be a better fit for you
the Eb saxes are usually more crisp and powerful in hits, the alto due to its high pitch and the baritone do to its strong air necessity.
my band director recorded this

Is it it more difficult to get those sort of notes on an alto rather than a tenor?
if yes I'm getting a tenor sax, cause i prefer that sort of tone.

Yeah well I realised tenor has a deeper tone.
So I'm getting an alto.(I'm an absolute noob)

so tenor might be the way to go.
