@svadriana The fact that the bears are walking on this road SUPER chilled out means that a trucks pass rarely. In canada roads criss-cross even the most wildest parts so for the bears it's natural.
dogs, hyenas, wolves, jackals, foxes, fenecs..(canines) ....tiger,lion, leopard, cougar, domestic cats, jaguar, cheetah, lynx, (cats)..but what are bears where do they come from??
@mmcglaughlin I got up on the roof of my SUV when they came out of the willows and down the road. I would not have been on the road with them at that range. And yes I always carry bear spray while in grizzly country and encourage others to do the same. I have alot of respect for grizzlies of any size.
I would be crapping my pant's if I saw to grizzly bears walking down the road towards me. If it was a black bear like we have here in Virginia it wouldn't bother me as much but grizzly bears can be unpredictable and can attack with out notice. beautiful video just the same stay safe while in the woods.
Based on your experience what would you say the best place to see grizzlies at a close-medium range is in Yellowstone? My experiences in Lamar have been telescopic-lens requiring, I'm wondering if there are better places for close-range photography.
@Pingbo97 Well any time you are trying to photograph grizzlies you need a long zoom lens. This is really the only safe way to get close ups of bears. The odds of them passing close by your vehicle are slim unless you spend weeks, even months observing them.
Great video... I know you know... but you are so fortunate to live so close to such wonderful wildlife. We too are looking forward to the bears waking again, ready for our next visit to Yellowstone in May :o)
@Izzybella8802 agreed.........and i would just like to add that if i saw those two BIG boys walkin toward me like that, eventho they werent showin any signs of aggression, i would have to change my pants afterwards XD LMAO
@MrIceBrick I have been watching these bears since they were tiny cubs, just a few months old. Their mother raised them near the roadside to avoid the big males who would kill them. Once one of these bears stood up next to the open window of my car door and was just a foot from me, it was soo thrilling I will never forget it, but I wasn't scared because I could see it was just curious.
@Photoguide hmmmm....I don't know about scared because your breathing sounds pretty heavy when the bears walk by you as you are filiming;-) Great footage!
@LoveRise Well it does get me excited, but really, I am not able to keep the camera on the subject when I am scared. I have been scared by grizzlies before, but not on that day, and I can replay the unnerving moments in my head with great detail even though they never were recorded with a camera.
If only we could all get along this well.

Seeing them happy in nature like this brings to mind the horror of keeping them caged in zoos . . . .

MrProtuber 2 months ago
@TheSerenityhuck They are juveniles, There would be an obvious size difference if they were male and female.

A couple of really attractive young healthy grizzlies. Hope you had your bear spray at your side. It is a good way to protect yourself and the bears.

Well, if it is the territory of bears, then the road bears.:)
This is a private area of the bears.
A person can go to visit them.
If the Bears are invited ...

Beautiful teddy bears too

@2000flute All bears like roads, wolves too. It's like a big trail to them, they like to mark the road with their scat too, to mark their territory.
