Monsanto wasen't trying to patent pigs, they were trying to patent a number of genetic markers they found that were able to detect genes in the pigs that contributed to things like being meatier, and using this information to enhance a farmers use of regular breeding. Also, Monsanto sold this entire thing to some other company, so they don't even mess with pig genes anymore.

Since all of seeds are property of monsatan anyways, the farmers can step down, monsatan can grow them, harvest, do all of the dirty work, and take the blame in the courtrooms when people are poisoned and die.

Monsanto wasen't trying to patent pigs, they were trying to patent a number of genetic markers they found that were able to detect genes in the pigs that contributed to things like being meatier, and using this information to enhance a farmers use of regular breeding. Also, Monsanto sold this entire thing to some other company, so they don't even mess with pig genes anymore.

They did the same thing to the Canadian Canola farmer. He didn;t buy their seeds, but his neighbors did and, nature being the way it is, caused the wind to blow the pollen from the Monsanto farm to their neighbors and, the two plants mixed, like plants in nature do. Monsanto said "Aha, you are using our seed, pay up, or we will take you to court!"
The worst part that I think a Judge believed Monsanto and, ruled for them!

It is becoming increasingly clear that the current GM crops are neither needed nor beneficial. They are a dangerous diversion from the real task of providing food and health around the world. Too many instances of rogue scientists having been discovered altering the structure of seeds in order to carry disease, which can and probably are targeting the human race. We see this as inevitable and nothing short of BIO-WAR in our food.

example: i tried to upload a documentation called "das arme schein" (=the poor pig). about monsanto and how they force farmers to use their seeds.
