damn this chun messed up so0o0oo much this 1 game but you can tell he knows what he was doing... chun li's ultra CAN punish a couple of ryu's moves so his ultras were not random in this video but u have to time it perfectly and for me its to risky for on line play i personally think ryu has the advantage in this match up i think any 1 agree?

Well yeah I guess your right. Back in the day you couldn't tech throws so it was always fucking annoying when someone would just grab the whole match.. 3 grabs and you were dead lol. But in SF4, if your quick enough, you can always tech the grab.

In SF2 you can soften throws with exactly the same sort of concept so that throws dealt much less damage and didn't knock you down. Grabs were probably a little too powerful, but not overly so (exept for the holds which can actually be reset for huge damage.) People were just noobs back then.

Hosenka really doesn't do that much damage unless the ultra meter is maxed out, but yeah, you do lose some damage when you juggle with the ultra.

There isn't much special going on here. The Chun-Li doesn't know that you should combo into her special and ends up wasting it twice to lose the match. Other than that some poorly timed FADC is all I see.

What "special"? You don't even know the terminology. If you mean ultra, of course he knows how to combo it. I don't think he tried to combo it at the end...I think he saw the focus part, and assumed that his jump attack would get absorbed and so attempted an ultra upon landing in case Ryu followed up. Didn't quite work out as planned.

Sorry, I didn't use the word ultra. Most people know that Chun-li's super is a waste of her meter so I thought it would be apparent what I meant. But no I don't know the terminology. I just through around FADC without knowing what I am talking about.

I didn't say the Chun-li player was bad but there isn't anything special going on in this video. Haneyama made the ultra mistake twice. Her ultra is too easy to block/dodge, does little chip damage, and very easy to punish.

He's good but there are definitely better videos of him. There doesn't seem to be anything special in this video though and that was the comment I originally replied to. Would he beat me? Most likely but FADC and easily punishable ultras while at low health aren't anything special. The arc fierce->fierce->ex bird->Ultra is the only thing that would make me say this match special.
