  • when i play skyrim and turn on my console (ps3), the game gets stuck even before i'm at the main menu and when it does i try to reset so i try to turn it off, i dont hear the beep when i press the button and nothing happens. I have to pull the plug out almost every time freakin annoying >:(

  • okay to everyone out there here are my pc specs

    Intel Core 2 Duo

    E4500 @2.20GHz

    2.19GHz, 1.00 GB of RAM

    nVidia 7300 256 Mb

after some well made setting the game runs great for me , it laggs when things go a bit crowdy (lots of spells flying everywhere) but overall i have good fps and game works nice

  • This didn't help me at all. I can run Crysis on very high settings at 60-70 fps. I have no fucking clue what the problem is with Skyrim. When I start the game it runs fine, however once I enter a town, dungeon, or city it drops to like 15-20 or if I play long enough, it starts to drop regardless of where I am.

  • mines already on 0..and it was lagging like hell xD

  • i skyrim for pc but i dont have the SkyrimPrefs.ini... i only have skyrimprefs anyone know why?

  • @Legitluke look up My Documents\My Games\Skyrim

  • @Legitluke By default Windows hides the .ini part of the filename

  • @Legitluke same file

  • @Legitluke it is the same thing i think because i have the same skyrimprefs without .ini but it has all the stuff he just demonstrated in the video,

  • I Play Skyrim in PC, on Windows XP,

    Most important specs,

    3,14GhZ Intel i5

    2 DDR3 G'rams.

I tried following your guids cause i wanted to play today, but my game keeps freezing up. When i went intot he file and found the 'designated target' it was already set to 0, Why?

  • you can do it in game also and remember to put vibration off also it rlly helps ;) and ty

  • Comment removed

  • It was already 0, and its still laggy.

  • Please help can't find the text!!

  • @Gozzimo54321

    C:/My Documents/Skyrim/SkyrimPref

  • If you are using any pc or xbox 360 controllers to play this fun game, I would recommend you to leave it be. Which I mean leave as it is.

  • It works !!!!! I had very nasty lag during the frost dragon fight on main quest, but when I set up this it works fluently ! THANKS MAN !

  • Comment removed

  • Yes, yes, don't tell us what changing this setting actually does, I have complete faith in everything you are saying.

  • Guys help it says access is denied! what do i do??

  • i put it on low so i dont care it runs fine on low

  • this fix is kinda the same as consoles on xbox you need to go to setings/gameplay/save on caritor menu and set it to disabled insted of every 5 mins.

    and it fixes it >_>

  • Then delete System32

  • @clpcomputertips

    where is that?

  • @clpcomputertips are you crazy? :\

  • @clpcomputertips Oh rly ? O.o

  • @MrGrakkus Obviously it is a joke, and any idiot who would try that knows NOTHING about computers XD

  • @clpcomputertips someone will actually do this lol

  • @clpcomputertips Then spill water over PC / Laptop.

  • This did not help me at all. The problem I'm facing is that the menu takes 20 minutes to pull up, after which it laggs. And there is no visual once you hit play, not even in character creation, and once you create a char there is no visual, and therefore no gameplay. It might be my PC since it's an old WinXP laptop but I can NOT get a new PC anytime soon because I'm broke

  • its helps for fps drop but not mouse lag wahtaever it is when u turn indoors its looks like its loading world every second again and again thats looks very shit and feel bad..

  • What the f*ck...I already have it on 0 and it runs like sh1t.

  • @blade312PMU

I KNOW. I'M GETTING LIKE 15FPS ON LOW SETTINGS >.>

  • -Xbox 360 Fix-

what are you talking about theres no lag for xbox that ive experienced

  • @Glitchyscape2 OR- Don't buy a 360, and just get a better game that actually works.

  • -PS3 FIX-

    just get an xbox 360

  • @Glitchyscape2 a 360 is cheap...

  • -PS3 FIX-

Clear up HDD space and it will run flawlessly. I had 120gb free out of 320gb after d/l demo's and movies and Skyrim came to a crawl. After deleting old demos and movies i had 150gb out of 320gb and it runs like it did on day one.

Save file size has nothing to do with it. If you don't believe me go d/l a bunch of demo's and movies and Skyrim will play like shit, the fix is easy though.

    Hope this helps!

  • @gunzilla29 i tried that. and something similar on the xbox360 too. it doesen't work. the lag still popping up at times, and its starting to freeze during loading screens and combat. FFS the game engine is broken! we can only thank bethesdas coders and testers wich couldn't do a decent job.

  • @cuzgandalfgothigh99 Clear up the HDD until you can stand still in-game without the HDD light flashing. When my HDD size was 120/320gb free it started running bad, now it has 150/320gb and plays like a champ. I have 180 hours and a 10mb save file for the record.

  • @gunzilla29 the HDD ? sorry if i sound like an idiot, i'm not used to the Xbox 360 but wheres that? do i go to system settings or?

  • @cuzgandalfgothigh99 HDD is the hard drive where data like games is stored. The yellow light that flashes on bottom left is HDD activity. Delete old demos and movies and keep PS3 clean and games will run better. Hopefully the patch prevents from having to do this.

  • @gunzilla29 oh btw i have a 60 GB slim version xbox 360 thats about 3/4 years old, i don't know if that affects the gameplay

  • @cuzgandalfgothigh99 There is very little you can do with a console except keep it tidy. Make sure to open as much HDD space as you can, the game seems to need the HDD alot for lack of RAM in the consoles. Good luck

  • NO !! more lag

  • didnt work @@

  • guys sorry but i got a problem. my bgamepad was already at 0 but it still lags frameratelags. pls help!

  • whats the Gamepad for whats the use of it?

  • thanks

  • Hi there. I did what you showed but still no results. I have GeForce 8500 GT, 3gb ram 2.7 duo core running Windows 7 32 bits. My game lags like hell. It's impossible to play. Is it my specs or i need to config something.

  • @TheSame92 8500 is old and you should have 4gb of ram.

  • @1017TRXLL Thanks!

  • what does mayus mean???

  • @munchimarcus i think that by ctrl mayus escape he means control alt delete. then to set the priority you go to task manager right click on the task called skyrim and click go to to process. this will take you to the process right click on that and you can set the priority.

  • what I did to reduce lag (and almost eliminate it) was that in my pc when I had skyrim running I pressed ctrl mayus and esc then a window appear with a list of the programs and things that where currently running on my computer, I looked for skyrim and with the right button of the mouse I made skyrim the top priority so that whenever I had skyrim running the computer would focus on skyrim the most (: (srry for my english I hope this helped you )

  • It did a lot of help try it! Thanks man you have been of great help for me :)

  • IT DIDNT HELP AT ALL

  • Ok for those with not so good comps or useing lap tops if u look under this gamepad thing <oh ya dosnt change my play anyways but thanks. there is a line that reads [particals] and under it is imaxdesired=??? what ever u have i put mine down from 750 to 420 and baaaam i gained 40 fps up from 8 so im guessing this will help alot of yall

  • @BaneToday thx it made mine from .5fps to just about 15fps helped alot

  • @11111m12 i tweaked with mine so far im still getting about 40fps and i bumped the number up to 580

  • try lowering it to like 200 then up ur item hud and object in the game settings makes it easier for me.

  • @BaneToday No difference for me

  • @BaneToday i dont see it o.O

  • @BaneToday Dude... that shit don't WORK!

  • @BaneToday what?

  • does the patch on ps3 patch oghma infinium

  • is this just me but when i search a chest or body it wont let me 4 about 10 secands and is really annoying can some 1 help me

  • Didn't work. All you told it to do was to disable the Gamepad (360 controller)...

  • Advanced system care

    game booster

    Tuneup utilities

use these 3 programs to there fullest and you should get a Noticed able Frame rate increase.

Trust me going from 3 Fps to 9 is a BIG Difference!

Yeah i got a video example

  • Hey the problem I've with Skyrim is: When I'm playing it the game doesn't lag, it's works very good but in the for example I'm walking and It gets stucks for a few seconds, 6 or 7 seconds and then it comes back and I continue playing and like 10 seconds later it gets stuck again. I can do nothing when it gets stuck what do you think it is? ¨Please help me.

  • I <3 THIS VIDEO THX!!!!!! IM NOW SUBSCRIBING+LIKING

  • Comment removed

  • Didn't work for me. ;(

  • Didnt help :/

  • what if yoy have downloaded it from steam still do the same thing or go through your steam files? im confused lol sry

  • 1. Stop CPU Usages by Unwanted Applications

    2. Defragment the Registry

    3. Kill your Antivirus

    4. Update your Drivers

    5. Defragment the Hard Disk

    6. Free-Up the Disk Space

    7. Use Micrsoft Process Explorer to stop unwanted processes

    8. Use reginOut system utility to optimize your PC to its best performance.

    Above procedure worked for me.

  • @RobertWilliams525 Skyrim has an unstable framerate, this wouldn't help to others cause it is a matter from the game; not your pc.

  • @RobertWilliams525 That is no match for my FACTORY RESET! WOOOO

  • =)=)=)=)=)=)=)

  • thanks did help allot

  • what if you have a cracked version D:

  • IT DIDNT HELP :(

  • sorry, didnt work

  • fuck my shitty intel HD graphics card>:(

  • wow thanks that worked a treat :D

  • if it dos not work why upload a video about it

  • it gave me a minor boost in fps about 4-9 roughly.. thanks anyway

  • Grandest Example of Skyrim Crapy frame rate look at my first video....

    Yeah..... 6 fps

  • @here57 didnt help.....

    heres what might

    Skyrim.ini

Goto every Shadow setting and set it to 0

    Remove shadows

    and last but not Lest

Look for particles and set it to 0 :D

i should make a video of this ?:D

  • Ummm it didnt work for me, i did exactly what you said i found it all and done it, mine was on 1 originally then changed to 0 but still nothing?

  • @MrSiLenTb88 watch if it does not changing to 1 when you open skyrimlauncher

  • lol didnt fix anything.

  • Or you just go ingame settings and disable Xbox 360 controller..

  • Mine was 0 at first. Does my computer just suck?

  • Don't get why do this always happens with Bethesda games...

This is the 3rd time they've screwed us with stability of the game,

I demand the fix for this via steam NOW!

  • Thanks so much! I finally found a method that works :)

  • @Andymufc1990 stable version umm their isn't such a word that could be used in conjunction with the other word skyrim not possible
